Is Jack Ingram Putting Together His Own NASCAR Legaue?
Thanks to Jack Ingram, many of country music's biggest stars are staking their claim on numbers after Jack prompted country music's artist to choose a number - in line with NASCAR's historic assigning of car numbers for their drivers. What began on Twitter earlier this week has quickly become a scramble: Jack laid claim to #15, and as the self-proclaimed "numbers commissioner," Jack appropriately assigned #13 to Taylor Swift, #7 to Garth Brooks and #44 to Dolly Parton, "for obvious reasons" mused Jack.
Numbers have already been doubled-up as Dierks Bentley also opted for #7, leaving Jack to declare that "Garth can have #7 and Dierks can take #07." Joe Nichols chimed in lobbying for #6. The Lost Trailers bested Nichols by one deciding that #5 is the number for them. Martina McBride told Jack she needed to be #33. Artist-to-artist tweets were bouncing back and forth as Sugarland took #91, Miranda Lambert put her money on #77 and Charles Kelly of Lady Antebellum chose #21 for the trio. Exactly what Jack plans to do with this numbers game is beyond us, but we hope to find out soon through Jack Ingram's Twitter page.
