
Blount County authorities have identified the man whose body was found in the Little River Thursday night, but they're asking for help on the case. Sheriff James Berrong identifies the man as 29-year-old Lance Michael Larson of O'Fallon, Missouri. An autopsy was performed, but his cause of death is still under investigation. Also, his car is missing. It's a tan 2003 Kia Spectra with Missouri tags: CF1S9.
Investigators are asking for the public's help. If you've seen or spoken to Lance Larson in in the past few weeks, they want to hear from you. Larson was described as white, 6'2", with brown eyes, brown hair, and a light beard.
Fishermen found his body about a half mile downstream from the Roddy Branch boat dock Thursday night.
In February, Larson traveled to Lynchburg, Virginia from his home in O’Fallon, Missouri. Last known contact with his family in Missouri was around February 20th, when he told his parents he was headed back to Missouri. It is not known why Larson was in the Rockford area.
