Dave Jeffries

Dave

If Dave’s voice sounds familiar to you, well, there is a reason for that.  You see, Dave has been heard on many radio or TV commercials throughout the southeast over the past several years!  But now, Dave Jeffries has come back to WIVK!  We say he has come back… as Dave had previously worked for WIVK – about 13 years earlier – primarily in the radio commercial department as the voice of many of the commercials for our advertisers here, at the time.  Dave got his start in radio in his hometown of Jefferson City… so he is a native son of East Tennessee, who grew up listening to “the Frog Station!”  After doing a little traveling around the southeast working in radio, he finally ended up back near his hometown, right here in Knoxville… and has been in the area for nearly 40 years!  Meanwhile, for the last 20-Plus years, Dave has also become a fixture on the VOL Radio Network, serving as Studio Producer/Master Control operator for all the Vol Network broadcasts, including UT Football, Basketball & Lady Vol Basketball games.  Needless to say, Dave is a lifelong “Big Orange” Fan!!  Dave & his wife Virginia live here in Knoxville, and are members of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church.  Virginia works as a Special Ed/Preschool teacher for Knox County Schools. They have one son – James – who graduated from West High School, and now works as a mechanic here in Knoxville as well.
