Alan Thomas

Alan was born and raised near Boston but has always been a country boy at heart. As a child he used to pretend he was a radio DJ by playing records and talking into a toy microphone, so it was only natural that he’d turn that passion into a profession. Alan started playing radio for real in the 1970’s and entered the country music business in 1982. He’s worked on the air and programmed radio stations in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Several years ago he finally moved to Tennessee and discovered he felt right at home with the friendly people and beautiful countryside. Alan has two sons and a daughter and loves spending time with them. In the summertime he can often be found camping out in the mountains or near the lakes of East Tennessee. His true love however has always been music, and he enjoys all types from country to rock and roll. Alan looks forward to entertaining WIVK listeners every Saturday late at night and occasionally through the week.
