Amazon is bringing a new fulfilment center to Alcoa. Governor Bill Lee says this center is expected to bring around 800 jobs to East Tennessee.
According to Amazon, the facility will specialize in small products such as books and electronics.

In response to the move, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee said, “over the past year, Amazon has announced projects in each of TN’s grand divisions, accounting for nearly 3,000 new jobs. We are grateful that Amazon continues to provide jobs to thousands of Tennesseans, and we congratulate the company on its newest fulfillment center in Alcoa.”
US House Representative from East Tennessee, Tim Burchett, also chimed in with approval saying, “this is big news for economic development in our region! East Tennessee is a great place to do business and our best asset is our people. We’re excited to welcome Amazon to our community.”
