Go Behind the Scenes With Luke Bryan as He Shoots the Music Video for “Fast”

Luke Bryan treated fans to a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the music video for his current single, “Fast.” The almost-four-minute clip features footage of Luke shooting the video in the theater at Indiana University, FaceTiming with his son, Bo, playing basketball, talking about the song and more.

“‘Fast’ is a song I got the opportunity to get in the room with Rodney Clawson and Luke Laird [to write], and I’m just so proud about how we used a simple word like ‘fast’,” says Luke in the video. “We tied the verses in and how life . . . does move too fast. Every time I come home, my boys are bigger and, you know, starting to throw me around the house a little more. One day I’ll snap my fingers and you wish could have froze time a little bit, and I think anytime you can help people slow down and reflect on that and remember to take things in stride a little bit better, I think people love hearing that in a song.”

Darius Rucker Gets Emotional After South Carolina Reaches the Final Four

Former University of South Carolina student Darius Rucker has a new reason to cry, and it has nothing to do with the Dolphins.

South Carolina’s basketball team reached its first-ever Final Four with an upset win over Florida on Sunday (March 26) at Madison Square Garden. Darius was in the Garden for the game, and he got pretty emotional after the historic win.

Check out Sports Illustrated’s two clips of Darius below.

“I was saying to my [buddies]—I got some guys I went to college with and we were like, ‘Man, we’re in the Garden, watching the Gamecocks play to go to the Final Four.’ If you had told me that 10 years ago, I would’ve told you you were on on crack, you know?” said Darius. “And here we are. Being in the Garden for this made it even more special.”

Carrie Underwood Celebrates Her 100th Appearance on the “Grand Ole Opry”

The Grand Ole Opry has played a prominent role in Carrie Underwood’s life for many years.

As a child growing up in Oklahoma, Carrie watched the Grand Ole Opry on television at her grandparents’ house. In 2005, Carrie made her Opry debut two weeks after winning American Idol. Less than three years later in 2008, Carrie was inducted into the esteemed organization by Garth Brooks.

Over the weekend, Carrie celebrate another Opry milestone by performing on the hallowed circle for the 100th time during the first of four sold-out shows.

Opry member Connie Smith introduced Carrie on Saturday’s first show and presented her with a commemorative print and a rose bouquet in celebration of 100 Opry appearances.

“Opry fans, all of us Opry members and the entire Opry family are excited when you come home to the Opry stage,” said Connie. “Even when you’ve been on the road more than 200 days a year, you’ve always come back to the Opry. That tells me you love us, and we love you right back.”

“I grew up dreaming of one day performing here and maybe even becoming a member,” said Carrie. “That dream comes true over and over each time I take the Opry stage. Here’s to the next 100.”

Willie Nelson Ain’t Deathly Sick: “He’s Perfectly Fine,” Says His Publicist

Willie Nelson Ain’t Deathly Sick: “He’s Perfectly Fine,” Says His Publicist

Despite a report from online gossip site RadarOnline, Willie Nelson isn’t “deathly ill.”

According to Willie’s publicist, Elaine Schock, Willie is “perfectly fine.” Elaine made the comments to the Associated Press, citing Willie’s performances at nearly a dozen shows in recent weeks as proof the 83-year-old singer isn’t “weak as a baby.”

Earlier this year, Willie canceled shows on January 28 and 29 and February 6, 7 and 8 due to a “bad cold.” However, the Red Headed Stranger has since returned to the stage, including performing for more than 75,000 fans at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 18. Willie has a number of tour dates scheduled in April, including the Merle Haggard Tribute in Nashville on April 6.

In April, Willie is slated to drop his new album, God’s Problem Child, which features “Still Not Dead,” a tune Willie co-wrote with producer Buddy Cannon.

Below, watch Willie’s new video for “It Gets Easier,” which is also featured on his upcoming album.

Vote Now: 3rd Annual Nash Music Madness Finals—Blake Shelton vs. Dolly Parton

Vote Now: 3rd Annual Nash Music Madness Finals—Blake Shelton vs. Dolly Parton

In honor of college basketball’s craziest month, I created a bracket with 16 of the hottest acts in country music. I seeded them based on the strength of their current “season,” which ran from the ACM Awards in April 2016 to the Grammy Awards in February 2017.

After more than 6,000 votes were cast in the Fab 4 Round, two stars emerged victorious: Blake Shelton and Dolly Parton.

A few interesting factoids from the previous Fab 4 Round before you vote in the Final Round.

  • Blake Shelton defeated two-time reigning champion Carrie Underwood by more than 1,500 votes. In the three-year history of our Nash Music Madness bracket, this is Carrie’s first defeat.
  • Dolly Parton defeated Thomas Rhett by almost 2,000 votes. This is Dolly’s first trip to the Finals.
  • Volunteers vs. Sooners. The Final Round features a Tennessee (Dolly) vs. Oklahoma (Blake) match-up.
  • On his way to the Finals, Blake (#7 seed) defeated Maren Morris (#2), Keith Urban (#6) and Carrie Underwood (#5).
  • On her way to the Finals, Dolly (#2 seed) defeated Luke Bryan (#7), Eric Church (#6) and Thomas Rhett (#5).

Josh Turner Grants Wish to Woman With Terminal Illness

Josh Turner Grants Wish to Woman With Terminal Illness

Josh Turner is a stand-up guy. We’ve known that for years, and a story out of Kansas City by NBC affiliate KSHB Channel 41 News further solidifies our stance.

Before his concert at Kansas City’s Uptown Theater last night (March 23), Josh took time for a special meet-and-greet with Kay Ray, a 76-year-old woman battling terminal cancer. Sporting a blue t-shirt that read “Kay Loves Josh Turner,” Kay had been looking forward to the meeting for more than a month, which was arranged by the Gift of a Day program and Crossroads Hospice.

“He gave me butterflies,” Kay said, according to Channel 41. “It was fantastic. It was like a dream come true.”

During his show, Josh dedicated “Long Black Train” to Kay, which just happens to be her favorite JT song.

Thomas Rhett’s New Single, “Craving You,” Featuring Maren Morris Will Drop on March 31

Thomas Rhett’s New Single, “Craving You,” Featuring Maren Morris Will Drop on March 31

Two of country music’s hottest young stars—Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris—are teaming up for a new single.

Thomas Rhett will give fans the first taste of his upcoming third studio album on March 31 when he releases his new single, “Craving You,” which features Maren.

“I remember hearing ‘Craving You’ and was immediately blown away by the story behind the longing of this guy who can’t wait to see his girl again,” said Thomas Rhett in a press release. “There’s this ’80s vibe that’s rocking throughout this track that makes it really euphoric. It was so nice to be able to work with Maren, whose voice is undeniably powerful and soulful, and just really adds a lot of intensity to the song.”

TR has been on a tear since 2013, with six of his past seven singles reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, while Maren was the breakout star of 2016 with her studio album, Hero, which helped her earn CMA, Grammy and ACM awards within the last few months.

TR’s label, Big Machine, posted the news on their Instagram page this morning (March 24) with the message: “Cannot WAIT for you to hear new @thomasrhettakins music! #CravingYou available everywhere, March 31st! 🙌🏼 #Repost @thomasrhettakins with @repostapp Your first taste of album #3 coming next week! Want to Dress Like Johnny Cash? It Will Cost You a Minimum of $25K

Want to Dress Like Johnny Cash? It Will Cost You a Minimum of $25K

Ah, I’d love to wear a rainbow every day,
And tell the world that everything’s OK,
But I’ll try to carry off a little darkness on my back,
Till things are brighter, I’m the Man in Black.

Not only did Johnny Cash close his iconic 1971 protest song, “Man in Black,” with the aforementioned verse, but he also lived by those sentiments. Johnny’s distinctive black stage ensembles are as recognizable as his music.

If you’re looking to add a touch of Johnny to your wardrobe, and you have plenty of cash, Nate D. Sanders Auctions has just what the Man in Black ordered: a Johnny Cash stage-worn outfit, including a black dress jacket, black pants, white shirt and black boots.

The auction ends on March 30, and the minimum starting bid is $25,000.

Johnny wore the outfit on his variety program, The Johnny Cash Show, which aired from 1969–71. The suit is comprised of a long black two-button jacket with an Eaves Costume Co. label and ”J. Cash” handwritten on it; black pants by Manuel; Turnbull and Asser of London for Bergdoff Goodman white button-down shirt; and black leather ankle boots, size 13D. The memorabilia included two certificates of authenticity.

Happy bidding.
