Listen to Florida Georgia Line’s Celebratory New Single, “Long Live”

Florida Georgia Line will follow up their 17th No. 1 single, “I Love My Country,” with the release of “Long Live.”

Penned by Corey Crowder, David Garcia, Josh Miller and FGL’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, “Long Live” will impact country radio on Sept. 14. The tune is not featured on FGL’s 2019 album, Can’t Say I Ain’t Country, or their 2020 EP, Six Pack, so it may be the lead single to their upcoming fifth album.

“This one is for the nights you never want to end,” says FGL. “It’s a celebration of all the good times with great friends and cold drinks. We had a lot of fun reminiscing when writing, and hope it takes our fans back too! Kick back with your loved ones, turn it up, and relive some of your glory days while making new memories. Long live!”

Watch Carrie Underwood & Brad Paisley Channel Loretta & Conway With Cover of “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” on the Opry

The Grand Ole Opry tallied its 4,940th consecutive Saturday night broadcast on Sept. 5 with a showcase featuring a pair of country music’s biggest stars: Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.

In addition to performing their own solo tunes, the longtime CMA Awards co-hosts treated viewers to a number of duets, including “Remind Me,” “Whiskey Lullaby,” “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” and “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man,” which you can watch below.

Penned by Becki Bluefield and Jim Owen, “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi” was a No. 1 hit for Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty in 1973.

The Grand Ole Opry has aired without an audience present since March 19 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, a number of stars have helped keep the Opry’s Saturday night shows rolling along, including Kelsea Ballerini, Darius Rucker, Clint Black, Luke Bryan, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Luke Combs, Dustin Lynch, Craig Morgan, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Ricky Skaggs, Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood and more.

Gabby Barrett’s “I Hope” Is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart for the 7th Week

Gabby Barrett’s “I Hope” Is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart for the 7th Week

Gabby Barrett’s “I Hope” is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart (streaming, sales and airplay-based) for the seventh week.

After topping the Billboard Country Airplay chart in April, “I Hope” reached the top of the Hot Country Songs chart in its 64th week, which is the longest trek to No. 1 in the chart’s 76-year history. The tune unseated Maren Morris’ “The Bones,” which had enjoyed a 19-week reign at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Penned by Gabby, Zachary Kale and Jon Nite, “I Hope” is featured on Gabby’s 2020 debut album, Goldmine. This week, Gabby released the album on vinyl, which was pressed into a signature gold-colored disc.

On Aug. 16, Gabby, 20, and husband Cade Foehner, 24, announced they are expecting their first child—a baby girl.

Reba McEntire Says the Cast of “Reba” Is Ready for a Reboot: “We’re Anxiously Awaiting Some Feedback”

Reba McEntire is ready to step back into the shoes of Reba Nell Hart, the wisecracking character on her long-running sitcom, Reba.

The sitcom, which starred Reba, Christopher Rich, JoAnna Garcia, Steve Howey and more, aired 127 episode over six seasons from 2001 to 2007 on The WB and The CW.

Like many recently rebooted sitcoms—Roseanne, Will & Grace, One Day at a Time—Reba says the cast of Reba is ready and willing to do a reboot, TV special or movie of the week. Reba shared her thoughts on the subject during a media round-robin interview on Sept. 3.

“We’re all for it,” says Reba. “The problem is the higher uppers, if they’re for it. But we’ve let them know that we’re anxiously awaiting some feedback and letting us know whether or not we can do a reboot, a two hour special, a movie of the week. We don’t care. We just love each other. We’ve got so many more stories that we didn’t get to tell before when they canceled us that we’re just excited to get back together.”

Dan + Shay Share New Performance Video of “I Should Probably Go to Bed” [Watch]

Dan + Shay Share New Performance Video of “I Should Probably Go to Bed” [Watch]

Dan + Shay shared a new performance video of their current single, “I Should Probably Go to Bed.”

With Dan playing piano and Shay providing lead vocals, the duo recorded the new tune at Ocean Way Nashville Recording Studios, which is housed in a 100-year-old Gothic church on Music Row.

Penned by Dan Smyers, Shay Mooney, Sean Douglas and Jason Evigan, “I Should Probably Go to Bed” was produced entirely by Dan, who performed and recorded every instrument at his home studio in Nashville. The single is currently No. 21 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart after six weeks.

“We’re so excited about our brand-new single,” says Dan. “We wrote part of this song in Los Angeles during Grammy week, but finished it at my house, on my piano, kind of by accident. Shay had come over to record vocals on another song that we had written. We took a break, went downstairs, started singing this song, and realized this song needs a big ending. So we really went for it. Shay delivered one of my favorite vocal performances of all time. We’re so proud that this is our new single.”
