Watch Midland Perform Top 10 Single, “Drinkin’ Problem,” on “Jimmy Kimmel”

After recently revealing the cover art and track list for their upcoming album, On the Rocks, Texas trio Midland stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform their current single, “Drinkin’ Problem.”

The new tune, which was co-penned by the trio’s Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson as well as Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, is currently No. 7 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.

“I think ‘Drinkin’ Problem’ is just a song that we feel really represents what Midland is about, as far as the sound goes, as far as the songwriting goes,” said Mark to Nash Country Daily. “I think it’s just a great peek into what our influences are. But essentially, it’s a song about an archetype—about a guy or a girl—that we’ve all known, and I am assuming that all of us are of the age and have spent a lot of time in bars. We all know this person, and maybe it has been us at a certain time, but it’s kind of a beautiful song about a dark place.”
