HAMBLEN COUNTY, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) — No one was injured after an SUV crashed into a home in Hamblen County Thursday evening, according to emergency officials.
The East Hamblen County Volunteer Fire Department said crews were first dispatched around 6 p.m. to the scene. While responders were on the way, an additional 911 call reported that a vehicle had crashed into a residence.
When crews arrived, they found an SUV lodged in the rear of the home. Officials confirmed the vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
Multiple agencies, including the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office, responded to assist at the scene.
While no injuries were reported, the home sustained damage significant enough to displace the family living there. The American Red Cross was called to provide assistance for those affected.
Authorities have not released information on how the vehicle ended up crashing into the home. The incident remains under investigation.
