35 years ago today (Aug. 29), Ronnie Milsap’s “(There’s) No Gettin’ Over Me” topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The tune, which was written by Walt Aldridge and Tom Brasfield, also crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100 (#5) and the Billboard Adult Contemporary (#2) charts.
