UPDATE: (11/3/25 5:50 p.m.) (WOKI / WVLT) – One person is seriously injured in a crash in Corryton after a car crashed off the road.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol and Rural Metro Fire responded to Tazewell Pike at Clapps Chapel Road early this morning (Monday) and found a single vehicle had crashed off the road near a sewage pond of the utility company. Crews assessed and treated the occupant and set up a rope hauling system to safely get the injured to the waiting ambulance.

THP says the crash happened at Tazewell Pike at Clapps Chapel Road.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation says State Route 131 / Emory Road is closed in both directions between Old Tazewell Pike and Graceland Road as of 10:40 a.m. (11/3/25).
