NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville has been selected to host the Super Bowl in 2030, marking a major milestone for the city as it continues to grow as a national destination for sports and entertainment.
The NFL’s announcement means tens of thousands of fans will descend on downtown Nashville for one of the world’s biggest sporting events.
City and tourism leaders say Nashville’s compact downtown layout played a key role in landing the game. The new enclosed Nissan Stadium — currently under construction and expected to open by 2027 — will sit just blocks from major attractions, including Bridgestone Arena, Music City Center, restaurants, hotels, and the city’s entertainment district.
By 2030, the Nashville area is projected to have more than 80,000 hotel rooms, helping accommodate the massive influx of visitors.
The new $2.2 billion stadium is specifically designed to attract events like the Super Bowl. It will feature closer seating than the current stadium and advanced technology, including “just walkout” concession areas that allow fans to quickly grab food and drinks without waiting in line.
Leaders with the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation say the event will highlight the city’s growth, Southern hospitality, and unique identity on the global stage.
