WASHBURN, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) – A deadly shooting in Grainger County is under investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
Grainger County Sheriff James Harville said the shooting occurred Friday evening in the 3000 block of Black Fox Road in the Washburn area. One person was killed in the incident.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim or details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has joined the Grainger County Sheriff’s Office in the case, which remains active and ongoing.
Officials say no additional information is available at this time as investigators continue working to determine what led up to the shooting.
