KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The SEC released Thursday each team’s home and away matchups for the upcoming 2026-27 men’s basketball season.
The conference schedule will run from Jan. 2 to March 6 and will feature 18 games for each of the league’s 16 teams.
Tennessee will play three SEC foes both at home and on the road: Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt. The Wildcats and Commodores are annual two-game rivals, while the Tigers are the discretionary two-game opponent for 2026-27.
The Volunteers will welcome six additional teams to Food City Center to complete their nine-game home conference slate. Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State and South Carolina will all visit Rocky Top.
Meanwhile, the six programs Tennessee will only play on the road are Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas and Texas A&M. Eight of the Volunteers’ nine SEC road games are in the Central Time Zone.
The 2026-27 home/away designations are the opposite of last season, with the lone difference that Missouri replaces Alabama as the third home-and-home matchup for the Volunteers, with the Crimson Tide now a home-only opponent.
Tennessee is coming off its fifth consecutive 25-win season, fourth straight Sweet 16 berth and third consecutive Elite Eight appearance. The program is also welcoming the top-ranked transfer class in the nation, per ESPN.
