KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) – All current and former Knox County Sheriff’s Office employees charged in a high-profile theft case entered not guilty pleas during an arraignment Tuesday.
According to court proceedings, 11 current and former KCSO employees are facing charges of conspiracy to commit theft, theft of property over $250,000, and theft of services over $60,000.
Among those charged are former Knox County Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones and former Assistant Chief Deputy David Henderson, whose appearances were waived during the arraignment.
The charges stem from an ongoing investigation involving allegations of theft and misuse of resources.
The next motion hearing in the case has been scheduled for August 17 at 9 a.m.
