Knoxville, TN (WOKI – Fans looking to avoid game-day traffic around Neyland Stadium will have several public transit options available through Knoxville Area Transit for Saturday’s Tennessee football game.
KAT is operating its football shuttle service for all Saturday home games during the 2026 season. The primary shuttle route, Route 51E, will depart from Krutch Park in Market Square beginning three hours before kickoff and will run continuously until game time. Round-trip fare is $10 per person and tickets must be purchased through the Transit app, as the shuttle service is now completely cashless.
For SEC home games, KAT also operates Route 51D from Willow Avenue near Covenant Health Park in the Old City. Shuttle riders are dropped off near Walters Life Sciences Building on the University of Tennessee campus, just a short walk from Neyland Stadium.
Fans driving into Knoxville can take advantage of KAT’s park-and-ride service from the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum garages. Parking and shuttle transportation are bundled into a single cashless fee. Shuttle buses run continuously beginning three hours before kickoff and return riders after the game.
KAT is also providing accessible transportation through its LIFT paratransit service for eligible riders at selected home games. The service provides direct access closer to the stadium for those needing mobility assistance.
For fans already using the city’s regular bus network, KAT says fixed-route service remains available. Riders can purchase a $2 day pass through the Transit app and connect from Knoxville Station to routes serving the Cumberland Avenue corridor, within walking distance of Neyland Stadium.
After the game, shuttle service back to downtown pickup locations begins at the start of the fourth quarter and continues for approximately 60 minutes after the final whistle. Riders are encouraged to check destination signs before boarding to ensure they return to the correct shuttle location.
KAT officials say the shuttle program is designed to provide Vols fans with a safe, convenient and affordable alternative to navigating heavy football traffic and searching for parking near campus.
