Hudson Westbrook made an impressive Grand Ole Opry debut on Tuesday night (July 22), delivering a three-song set that earned the 20-year-old rising country star a standing ovation. The Texas native captivated listeners with “Take Your Time,” the emotionally charged “Sober,” and his current country radio single, “House Again.” “It was one of the great honors of my life,” Westbrook shared following the performance. “To perform in the Circle and become part of the 100-year history of the Opry was surreal.” Westbrook admitted at the start of his set, “I’m a little nervous,” before realizing, “There’s no reason to be nervous, I’m in the Circle.” The Opry shared the emotional moment on TikTok, captioning the post, “If you’re nervous, you know it means something, @Hudson Westbrook 🤭 Congrats on your Opry debut!” Following a breakthrough year highlighted by the viral success of “Take It Slow” and chart-topping single “Two Way Drive,” Westbrook is set to release his debut album, Texas Forever, on July 25.
