Drug Task Force Arrests Six and Seizes ‘Significant’ Quantity of Meth at Lenoir City Home

Lenoir City, TN (WOKI) Six people are behind bars following an early morning drug bust Tuesday in Lenoir City.

Agents with the Ninth Judicial Drug Task Force along with local law enforcement served a search warrant just after dawn at a home on Bird Road.

Officials reporting the home has long been suspected to be connected with meth sales and drug activity.

“This house, located on Bird Road in Lenoir City, had been under surveillance for some time. Covert operations confirmed that methamphetamine was not only being sold there but that it had become a common meeting point for individuals looking to purchase and use drugs,” the task force wrote on social media.

Task Force officials say a “significant” amount of meth was seized during the search, and the home was shut down as a location for drug activity.

Of the six people arrested, two were on felony probation; all face numerous drug and firearm charges.

“These operations don’t happen overnight—except, sometimes, they quite literally do. Our agents spend countless hours preparing and coordinating, often sacrificing time with their own families, to keep illegal drugs off the streets and protect the communities they serve,” the Ninth Judicial Drug Task Force wrote. “Today’s success was the result of that dedication—and of strong partnerships with local law enforcement.”

The investigation remains ongoing.
