Countdown to the Inaugural Atomic Fall Fest

OAK RIDGE, TN (WOKI / The City of Oak Ridge) – The City of Oak Ridge is counting down to the first-ever Atomic Fall Fest, which is just two weeks away. The community-wide celebration will take place Friday, September 26, and Saturday, September 27, 2025, with live music, free family activities, arts and craft vendors, and more all centered
around A.K. Bissell Park in Oak Ridge.


The festival opens on Friday at 3 p.m. and kicks off with an Opening Ceremony on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Pavilion Stage. Concerts follow both nights at 7 p.m., with Lüttge Presents – More Cowbell opening for the Chillbillies on Friday and Brooke Logan opening for Boys Night Out on Saturday. Tickets to the concerts are on sale now for $10 at http://atomicfallfest.com/tickets. Festival-goers can look forward to a wide variety of attractions and entertainment across the Civic Center and in A.K. Bissell Park:

  • Oak Ridge Conference Center: Oak Ridge Art Center displays and shows; Oak Ridge
    Heritage and Preservation Association (ORHPA) exhibits
  • Civic Center Plaza: Nonprofit and City Boards informational booths
  • Recreation Center Gym: 30+ Arts & Crafts vendors
  • Pavilion Area: Performances, magic shows, Home Depot kids’ projects, Splatter Oak
    Ridge, Oak Ridge Animal Shelter, and a community arts & crafts tent
  • Oak Ridge Public Library: Sensory Safe Space with Xander’s Place; short films at 11
    a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.; arts & crafts at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • Food & Drinks: A lineup of local food trucks and beer provided by Hops and Hounds
    “Families will find a full slate of free, kid-friendly attractions throughout the festival grounds,” Atomic
    Fall Fest Executive Director Jon Hetrick said. “Children of all ages can enjoy things like bounce houses, crafts, face painting, and splatter painting, while teens and older kids can try the rockclimbing wall, a bungee jump, sports, and more.”
    C.W. Farms will bring their petting zoo, and Flippenout will bring its world-class athletes to perform
    their extreme trampoline shows. Treats like snow cones, cotton candy, and popcorn will also be
    available, along with classic festival fun such as a dunking booth.
    The free kids’ areas will be open Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    Fast N’ Classy’s Atomic Fall Fest Car Show will take place on Saturday, September 27, from 8
    a.m. to 2 p.m. at 148 Badger Avenue. The first 100 vehicles will receive commemorative dash
    plaques and T-shirts, with a wide variety of classic and custom cars on display.
