NEWPORT, Tenn. (WOKI) – The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 71-year-old man.
Authorities say Marty Pellasama was last seen leaving on a motorcycle ride. Investigators believe he could still be in Cocke County or may have traveled into neighboring North Carolina.
Search efforts are focused on areas including Paint Creek, Hurricane Gap, Hot Springs, and Martha Sundquist State Forest.
Officials say Pellasama has a medical condition, raising concern for his safety.
Multiple agencies are assisting in the search, including the Madison County and Greene County Sheriff’s Offices, emergency management teams, and local volunteer fire departments.
