KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) – Remote Area Medical, known as RAM, is bringing free telehealth clinics to Knoxville and Del Rio this week to help connect people with medical care.
The nonprofit organization, which regularly provides no-cost healthcare services through pop-up clinics, will host several events at locations across the area.
Clinics in Knoxville will take place at Care Cuts on June 16 and June 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Sustainable Future Center on June 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Church Street United Methodist Church on June 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A clinic will also be held in Del Rio on June 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 480 South Highway 107.
The telehealth clinics are designed to give patients access to medical professionals, including doctors and nurses, for basic care and consultation. Services are free and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Organizers note this round of clinics will provide medical services only and will not include dental or vision care.
