PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) — A well-known restaurant in Pigeon Forge will soon close its doors, leaving more than 60 employees out of work.
According to a WARN Notice filed with the state, the Hard Rock Cafe located at 2050 Parkway will permanently close on August 23, 2026. The closure is expected to impact 61 workers.
The filing states that the affected employees are not represented by a union and do not have bumping rights, meaning they cannot transfer to other positions within the company.
Officials say the East Local Workforce Development Area rapid response team will work with the employer and employees to provide support services during the transition, including job placement assistance.
The closure is part of a broader trend across Tennessee, where more than 5,000 workers have been impacted by layoffs or business closures so far this year.
