SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) — The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after three people were found dead inside an apartment on Marine Way on Friday.
According to authorities, deputies responded to the location and discovered three deceased individuals inside the apartment. Detectives have since launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Tyler Basler with Sevier County said preliminary information suggests the incident appears to be isolated and that investigators do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
While detectives continue gathering evidence and conducting interviews, officials have not released the identities of the three individuals. Information regarding the causes and manner of death has also not been made public.
Investigators are working to piece together what occurred prior to the deaths, and additional details are expected as the investigation progresses.
The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office said the case remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office.
Authorities have not announced when further updates may be released.
