PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WOKI)— Dollywood Parks & Resorts has earned a national honor from Forbes, being named to the publication’s America’s Best Employers for Women 2026 list.
The recognition makes Dollywood the only theme park company included on this year’s list.
According to Forbes, the rankings are based on survey data collected over the past three years from more than 140,000 women employed by U.S. companies and institutions with at least 1,000 employees. Dollywood was recognized in the Travel & Leisure category alongside major hospitality and entertainment companies including Expedia, Hyatt Hotels, Hilton, Marriott, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Live Nation and Hard Rock International.
Survey participants were asked about their willingness to recommend current and former employers and evaluated companies on factors such as pay equity, career development opportunities, parental leave, work-life balance, childcare and eldercare benefits, and how organizations handle workplace discrimination and misconduct concerns. Forbes also considered the percentage of women serving in executive leadership and board positions.
The latest accolade adds to a growing list of workplace recognitions for Dollywood in 2026. Earlier this year, Newsweek named the company to its America’s Best Workplaces for Women list. The park also has been recognized as one of Newsweek’s Best Workplaces for Entry-Level Employees, one of America’s Greatest Workplaces, and one of Time’s Best American Private Companies.
As the park continues to expand its workforce, Dollywood is encouraging prospective employees to apply for available positions through DollywoodJobs.com. Hiring events are scheduled throughout August, including weekly Thursday events at the Sevierville Civic Center and a special hiring event on August 8 at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa.
Dollywood highlights several employee benefits, including 100 percent free college tuition through Herschend’s GROW U program, access to the Dollywood Family Healthcare Center, family admission benefits, free meals during work shifts, childcare assistance, and leadership development opportunities in partnership with Walters State Community College.
