Knox County, TENN (WOKI / WVLT) — An investigation is underway after the Knoxville Fire Department said a person and a dog died in a house fire late Monday night.
According to KFD, crews responded to a fire in the 2300 block of Linden Avenue at around 11:45 p.m. on Monday after dispatchers received a report from someone who saw flames coming from the home.
During the search, KFD said firefighters found one person inside the home. Despite providing lifesaving measures, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. KFD said a dog was also found dead as a result of the fire.
