NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI) — As Tennesseans prepare to cast their ballots on Election Day Tuesday, state election officials are reminding voters that assistance is available through a statewide election hotline and a text-based voter fraud reporting system.
Tennessee Secretary of State’s Office officials are encouraging voters to use trusted election resources if they have questions about polling locations, voting procedures or potential Election Day issues.
“In Tennessee, voters can count on the Division of Elections and their local county election commission to be trusted sources for accurate and timely election information,” said Secretary of State Tre Hargett.
Election Hotline Available
Voters who have questions or experience problems at the polls can contact the Tennessee Division of Elections’ toll-free Official Election Hotline at 1-877-850-4959.
Officials say the hotline can provide assistance with Election Day voting questions and help direct voters to the appropriate local election resources.
Voters can also contact their local county election commission for additional assistance.
Fraud Reporting by Text
State officials are also promoting Tennessee’s Text to Report Voter Fraud system.
The program allows Tennesseans to report suspected voter fraud, Election Day concerns or feedback regarding their voting experience by texting “TN” to 45995.
Users receive a secure link that allows information to be submitted directly to the Division of Elections. State officials say reports are reviewed and, when necessary, shared with county election commissions, district attorneys and other agencies for follow-up.
GoVoteTN Provides Election Information
Election officials are encouraging voters to visit GoVoteTN.gov or use the free GoVoteTN mobile app to access important voting information.
The platform allows voters to:
- Find their polling location
- View voting hours
- Review sample ballots
- Check election information
- Access election results
Coordinator of Elections Mark Goins said ensuring eligible Tennesseans can vote while protecting election integrity remains a top priority.
“Ensuring every eligible Tennessean can vote easily while maintaining the integrity of our elections remains our top priority,” Goins said. “If voters have questions or encounter an issue on Election Day, our office is here to help.”
State officials are urging voters to make a plan before heading to the polls and to rely on official election sources for accurate information.
