Sevier County, TN – (Friday, August 1, 2025) Multiple law enforcement agencies responded this (Friday) afternoon to a Goose Gap Road residence in Sevier County, TN and arrested 24-year old Arnaldo Gomez Alberto.
Mr. Alberto was wanted on multiple felony warrants stemming from an incident on Franklin Drive in Sevierville on July 26, 2025. Mr. Alberto was able to flee from that incident before officers arrived.
Law enforcement has been looking for Mr. Alberto since the July 26 incident. Information was received earlier today of his possible whereabouts on Goose Gap Road.
SCSO SORT (Special Operations Response Team) deputies, assisted by SPD SWAT officers and PFPD SWAT officers, converged on the residence at approximately 2:06 p.m. (Friday) this afternoon. After a standoff of approximately one-hour and fifteen minutes, Mr. Alberto was taken into custody. The Sevier County Ambulance Service was on standby, however no injuries were reported.
Mr. Alberto has been charged with reckless endangerment, aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated child abuse, all stemming from the July 26 incident. He was subsequently transported to the aggravated child abuse, for booking.

In regard to the July 26 incident, Mr. Alberto allegedly entered a residence on Franklin Drive and threatened a woman and children with a firearm, before fleeing the area.
