PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. – (WOKI) – Dollywood’s Splash Country is inviting families to make a splash while learning important safety skills during its 16th annual Water Safety Day.
The event, presented by Blue Lizard Sunscreen, takes place Thursday, June 25, and focuses on promoting water safety awareness across the Smoky Mountain region.
The day’s highlight is the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson at 10 a.m. at the Mountain Waves wave pool. Registration and check-in begin at 9 a.m., and participants who sign up in advance can receive free admission to the park for the day. Tickets must be redeemed before 10 a.m. to attend the lesson.
Park officials say the event continues to grow each year. Last season, Splash Country had the second-highest participation of any water park worldwide, and organizers hope to see even more people take part this year.
“Everything we do here at Splash Country depends on a foundation of safety,” said Senior Operations Manager Lauren Lowery, highlighting the park’s commitment to guest well-being.
Participation is available on a first-come, first-served basis by registering online. Season passholders can attend without an additional ticket. All participants will receive a thank-you gift at check-in.
