Brett Eldredge Announces New Album, “Sunday Drive,” and Drops Lead Single, “Gabrielle” [Listen]

Brett Eldredge announced he will release this upcoming fifth studio album, Sunday Drive, on July 10.

Produced by Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk, Sunday Drive was recorded at Shirk Studios in Chicago. The new album is available for pre-order now, with immediate access to three new tracks that Brett co-penned: “Crowd My Mind,” “Where the Heart Is” and lead single “Gabrielle.”

Brett co-wrote the piano-driven lead single with Daniel and Ian. “Gabrielle” will ship to country radio on April 27.

“‘Gabrielle’ is about a love that didn’t quite work out and you always wonder what it could have been,” says Brett. “It could’ve ended up being something amazing and you wonder what they’re doing in their life right now and go back to those feelings when you hear the song.”

Sunday Drive will follow Brett’s 2017 self-titled album, which featured Top 5 hits “The Long Way” and “Love Someone.”

Loretta Lynn Releases Animated New Video for Cover of Patsy Cline’s “I Fall to Pieces” [Watch]

Loretta Lynn Releases Animated New Video for Cover of Patsy Cline’s “I Fall to Pieces” [Watch]

Loretta Lynn released an animated video for her new cover of Patsy Cline’s “I Fall to Pieces.” Created by director Aaron Ray, the video celebrates Loretta and Patsy’s friendship and features custom illustrations and animations.

Written by Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard, “I Fall to Pieces” was Patsy’s first No. 1 hit on the country charts in 1961. Before her death in a plane crash in 1963, Patsy was an established star who took up-and-comer Loretta under her wing to help her navigate the male-dominated world of country music.

“Friendship can help us during difficult times, like what we are all going through now,” says Loretta. “I wanted to share this song and video in honor of Patsy. She was my friend, mentor, my strength and I miss her to this day.”

Loretta’s new recording was released in celebration of her new book, Me & Patsy Kickin’ Up Dust (April 7), which was penned by Loretta and daughter Patsy Lynn Russell. According to a press release, the book is an “up-close-and-personal portrait of a friendship that defined a generation and changed country music indelibly–and a meditation on love, loss and legacy.”

Russell Dickerson & Wife Kailey Expecting First Child

Russell Dickerson & Wife Kailey Expecting First Child

Russell Dickerson and wife Kailey announced via Instagram on April 15 that they are expecting their first child.

“THE DAD SHOES ARE OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL! WE’RE HAVING A BABY!!” said Russell in the post.

Russell and Kailey were married in 2013.

Russell is trying to score his fourth No. 1 single with “Love You Like I Used To.” The new tune, which is the first sample of new music from Russell’s upcoming sophomore album, serves as a love letter to Kailey.

“The beginning of this song is intentionally different from me,” says Russell. “It makes you think it is a breakup song, but it is really a lead up to how great loves evolve and get better over time. Like all of my songs, I’ve lived it. I started dating my wife 10 years ago, and it is true—I don’t love her like I used to, and I think a lot of people will be able to relate to this song. It’s a really special song that I’m crazy proud of!”

After topping the charts with “Yours” and “Blue Tacoma” in 2018, Russell scored his third No. 1 single with “Every Little Thing” in November 2019. All three of Russell’s No. 1 songs are featured on his 2017 debut album, Yours.
