Michael Ray will ship his new single, “Her World or Mine,” to country radio on May 20.

Watch Lanco’s Redemptive New Video for “Rival”

The guys from Lanco—Brandon Lancaster, Chandler Baldwin, Jared Hampton, Tripp Howell and Eric Steedly—dropped a new video for “Rival,” the lead single from the band’s upcoming sophomore album.

Directed by Peter Zavadil and filmed in Nashville, the new video features a diverse crowd of folks who share their personal hardships with each other in an effort to “break down walls.”

“We really wanted to capitalize on the true message behind the song that was built from different times in our lives and the stories from fans who have felt beat-down and lost, but ultimately find hope and redemption,” says Lanco’s frontman, Brandon. “Every caption on that wall was an experience that person had to overcome, and when it was knocked down you could feel the genuine joy from everyone on the set. It was a powerful moment I’ll never forget.”

Produced by Jay Joyce, “Rival” was co-penned by Brandon Lancaster and drummer Tripp Howell.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Former Tennessee running back and longtime NFL scout Reggie Cobb passed away on Saturday at the age of 50.

A Knoxville, Tenn., native, Cobb played for the Vols from 1987 to 1989 and ranks No. 11 in UT history in rushing yards (2,360), tied for No. 7 in rushing touchdowns (26) and No. 12 in rushing attempts (445).

Cobb led the SEC in touchdowns with 20 in 1987 and rushed for 1,197 yards while collecting All-SEC Second Team honors during his freshman season on Rocky Top. His 1,721 all-purpose yards that season stood as the UT record until 2012.

Cobb was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round on the 1990 NFL Draft and spent seven seasons in the NFL, including a 1,171-yard, nine-touchdown season for the Bucs in 1994.

Following his NFL time, Cobb had a successful career as a scout for the 49ers, Washington Redskins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, including being named the NFC Scout of the Year in 2011.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tennessee in 1999.

STATEMENT FROM SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS GENERAL MANAGER JOHN LYNCH:
“We are devastated by the sudden loss of a tremendous teammate and loyal friend, Reggie Cobb,” said 49ers General Manager John Lynch. “Reggie was an enthusiastic and passionate person who had a special ability to brighten up a room with his personality and infectious smile. For 10 years, the 49ers were better because of Reggie and these unique qualities that he possessed. He was a top-notch scout and an exemplary man whose years of service to this organization and the National Football League will not be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends in this time of mourning.”

Thomas Rhett Releases Nostalgic New Track, “Remember You Young” [Listen]

Thomas Rhett Releases Nostalgic New Track, “Remember You Young” [Listen]

Thomas Rhett released a nostalgic new song, “Remember You Young,” from his upcoming fourth studio album, Center Point Road, which will drop on May 31.

Penned by TR, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley, “Remember You Young” follows the release of the album’s lead single, “Look What God Gave Her,” which is currently No. 14 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart after seven weeks.

“We wrote this song about the people in life that we love, and always remembering them in their youth no matter how much time passes and we all change,” Thomas Rhett said. “There’s something sentimental about remembering your very best friends who have real jobs and families now tearing it up in college, or picturing me and my wife with no cares at the Tin Roof back in Knoxville. I love that the last verse is a bit of twist with it all coming full circle. It actually makes me emotional . . . it’s easily one of my favorite tracks on the album.”

The 16-song album takes its name from the street in his Tennessee hometown that shaped much of his life experiences. TR co-penned every track on the album, which also features a who’s who of top songwriters, including Shane McAnally, Karen Fairchild, Rhett Akins, Josh Osborne and more.

In addition, the album features a number of collaborations with other artists, including Kelsea Ballerini (“Center Point Road”), Little Big Town (“Don’t Threaten Me With a Good Time”) and Jon Pardi (“Beer Can’t Fix”).

“For me, Center Point Road really symbolizes what it was like to grow up in Hendersonville [Tennessee],” says TR. “First dates, first football games, first heartbreak, first kisses, success and failures. I really feel like that road shaped who I am today, and it felt fitting because the record, for the most part, is pretty nostalgic. Songs like ‘Almost,’ ‘That Old Truck’ and especially ‘Center Point Road,’ really describe who I was as a kid and teenager, and who I’ve become as an adult.”
