Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Helps More Than 130 Pets Find Forever Homes in New “SPA Day” Events

With 15 rescue animals between them, it’s no secret Miranda Lambert and mom Bev Lambert have a soft spot in their hearts for fury, four-legged friends.

That’s why Miranda and Bev started the MuttNation Foundation in 2009, an organization with the mission of ending animal suffering and homelessness on every front. The foundation has successfully raised millions of dollars to aid organizations, government institutions and entities that build animal shelters for better care and increased pet adoption.

In honor of MuttNation’s 10th anniversary in 2019, the organization launched a new Shelter Pet Adoption program, SPA Days, which was developed to help animal rescue facilities increase their adoption numbers. The program was rolled out with five shelters—FurKids of Atlanta, SCRAPS (WA), APA Adoption Center of Missouri, Corridor Rescue (TX), and South Suburban Humane Society of Chicago—and provided each rescue with a “toolkit” that included collars for their adoptable dogs, a MuttNation banner customized with their shelter’s name, and a check for $1,000 to help cover the costs of their event, as well as lots of promotional support through MuttNation’s social media channels.

More than 130 animals found forever homes through SPA Days, with each shelter claiming their highest single-day adoption rate.

“Music and rescue animals are the two driving forces in my life, and I’m so fortunate that the success I’ve had with my music allows me to help shelter animals more than I dreamed possible,” says Miranda. “MuttNation’s 10-year milestone is amazing and what we’ve been able to accomplish gets better every year.”

Thomas Rhett’s New Album Features Collaborations With Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town & Jon Pardi

Thomas Rhett’s New Album Features Collaborations With Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town & Jon Pardi

Thomas Rhett revealed the track listing, songwriters, featured artists and cover art for his upcoming fourth studio album, Center Point Road, which will drop on May 31.

The 16-song album takes its name from the street in his Tennessee hometown that shaped much of his life experiences. TR co-penned every track on the album, which also features a who’s who of top songwriters, including Shane McAnally, Ashley Gorley, Jesse Frasure, Karen Fairchild and more.

In addition, the album features a number of collaborations with other artists, including Kelsea Ballerini (“Center Point Road”), Little Big Town (“Don’t Threaten Me With a Good Time”) and Jon Pardi (“Beer Can’t Fix”).

“For me, Center Point Road really symbolizes what it was like to grow up in Hendersonville [Tennessee],” says TR. “First dates, first football games, first heartbreak, first kisses, success and failures. I really feel like that road shaped who I am today, and it felt fitting because the record, for the most part, is pretty nostalgic. Songs like ‘Almost,’ ‘That Old Truck’ and especially ‘Center Point Road,’ really describe who I was as a kid and teenager, and who I’ve become as an adult.”

Center Point Road Track Listing & Songwriters

  1. “Up” (Thomas Rhett, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley, Shane McAnally)
  2. “Don’t Threaten Me With a Good Time” featuring Little Big Town (Thomas Rhett, Karen Fairchild, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley, Ray Charles McCullough II, Jeremy Reeves, Ray Romulus, Jonathan Yip)
  3. “Blessed” (Thomas Rhett, Sean Douglas, Joe Spargur)
  4. “Look What God Gave Her” (Thomas Rhett, Rhett Akins, Julian Bunetta, JKash, Ammar Malik, John Henry Ryan)
  5. “Center Point Road” featuring Kelsea Ballerini (Thomas Rhett, Jesse Frasure, Amy Wadge, Cleve Wilson)
  6. “That Old Truck” (Thomas Rhett, Julian Bunetta, Kamron Kimbro, Ryan Tedder)
  7. “VHS” (Thomas Rhett, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley, Amy Wadge)
  8. “Notice” (Thomas Rhett, Sean Douglas, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley)
  9. “Sand” (Thomas Rhett, Jesse Frasure, Michael Hardy)
  10. “Beer Can’t Fix” featuring Jon Pardi (Thomas Rhett, Julian Bunetta, Zach Skelton, Ryan Tedder)
  11. “Things You Do For Love” (Thomas Rhett, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley, Luke Laird, Josh Osborne)
  12. “Remember You Young” (Thomas Rhett, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley)
  13. “Don’t Stop Drivin’” (Thomas Rhett, Zach Crowell, Ashley Gorley, Josh Miller)
  14. “Barefoot” (Thomas Rhett, Rhett Akins, Matt Dragstrem, Josh Miller)
  15. “Dream You Never Had” (Thomas Rhett, Rhett Akins, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley)
  16. “Almost” (Thomas Rhett, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley, Amy Wadge)

To get the party started, TR has released the album’s uptempo lead single, “Look What God Gave Her.”

“I think I played this song 2,000 times in a month after we first wrote it,” says Thomas Rhett. “It makes me want to dance. It makes me want to move. And to me, the song really is a celebration of how awesome my wife is. I know I’ve done that in the past, but I’ve never really done it in an uptempo way.”
