Luke Combs Looking Forward to Buying a House After Scoring 3rd Consecutive No. 1 Hit With “One Number Away”

Luke Combs Looking Forward to Buying a House After Scoring 3rd Consecutive No. 1 Hit With “One Number Away”

Now that Luke Combs is three for three, it’s time to buy a house.

The gifted vocalist and songwriter scored his third consecutive No. 1 single on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with “One Number Away,” which follows previous No. 1 tunes “Hurricane” and “When It Rains It Pours.” The three No. 1 singles are featured on Luke’s 2017 debut album, This One’s For You.

“It’s hard to believe—three No. 1s within a year,” says Luke to NCD. “It’s been a wild ride, for sure. We have some great fans, and I’m super thankful for the success of the songs.”

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of his No. 1 debut album, Luke released a deluxe edition of the record on June 1.This One’s for You Too features 17 tracks, including the 12 originals from his debut album and five news songs: “Must’ve Never Met You,” “Houston, We Got a Problem,” “Beautiful Crazy,” “A Long Way” and “She Got the Best of Me.”

The financial success of his three No. 1 singles and debut No. 1 album—not to mention his new deluxe album—have the North Carolina native itching to buy a house in the Nashville area.

“I’m looking forward to buying a house soon, so I think that will allow me some time to sit down and think about some of the awesome stuff I’ve gotten to do over the last year,” says Luke. “I’m looking for a piece of land. I want some acreage to hunt and kind of get away from everything. I really like that space. I’m excited. I’d love to get that peaceful spot.”

Clap Along to Brett Eldredge’s Warm New Single, “Love Someone” [Listen]

Clap Along to Brett Eldredge’s Warm New Single, “Love Someone” [Listen]

Brett Eldredge will send a new single, “Love Someone,” to country radio on June 18.

Penned by Brett, Ross Copperman and Heather Morgan, “Love Someone” is featured on Brett’s 2017 self-titled album, which has already spawned one Top 5 hit, “The Long Way.”

“‘Love Someone’ is about the simplicity of love,” Brett says. “You know love is actually, when it comes down to it, a very simple thing. What are those things that you look for most in a companion? It’s someone that keeps you warm at night, that’s always there for you. Somebody that laughs at the way you dance—they think it’s funny but they love you for it. They smile when you’re holding their hand. This is one of those first-listen kind of songs that just makes you smile, makes you feel good, makes you want love if you don’t have it and makes you happy to be in love if you are.”

Garth Brooks Announces CMA Fest Appearance, New Tour & New Music

Garth Brooks Announces CMA Fest Appearance, New Tour & New Music

After four-week hiatus, Garth Brooks returned to his weekly Facebook Live series, Inside Studio G, on June 4 to make a series of announcements.

In addition to announcing that new music and a new tour are forthcoming, Garth revealed that he will participate in a Q&A during CMA Fest at Xfinity Fan Fair X on June 9 from 12:15 to 1 p.m. on the Close Up Stage inside the Music City Center.

’80s Dance Party With Brad Paisley, Chris Young, Darius Rucker & Others Helps Raise More Than $340,000 for Alzheimer’s Association

’80s Dance Party With Brad Paisley, Chris Young, Darius Rucker & Others Helps Raise More Than $340,000 for Alzheimer’s Association

CMA Fest week got an unofficial kickoff on June 3 at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon during the second annual ’80s Dance Party to End Alz, which benefited the Alzheimer’s Association.

This year’s event, which was hosted by Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Blair Garner, featured performances from Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Chris Young, Lindsay Ell, Charles Esten, Ashley Campbell, High Valley, Emily West and Radio Romance.

“I’m here tonight because of my mom, who had Alzheimer’s, and my entire family who went through the experience with her,” said Kimberly Williams-Paisley from the stage. “We lost my mom in 2016, and since then I’ve connected with so many people affected by this disease. Unfortunately, people with Alzheimer’s and those around them feel the stigma associated with this disease, and that keeps people from having important conversations and sharing their story to bring Alzheimer’s and other dementias out of the shadows. Together, all of us here in this room—each and every one of us—we are changing the world by imagining a world without Alzheimer’s disease and by supporting the Alzheimer’s Association.”

The evening also included a silent auction of exclusive experience packages, including tickets and passes to a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live, an L.A. Dodgers experience with batting practice passes, tickets and signed items from Clayton Kershaw, a VIP Star Trek movie screening with a William Shatner meet and greet, Brad Paisley tickets and meet and greet passes, and tickets to an Eagles concert along with a guitar signed by all members of the group.

The fundraising effort is still being tallied, but more than $340,000 has already been raised. The event was led by a volunteer committee of Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Blair Garner, Eric Garner and John Shomby,
