Virgin Islands resident Kenny Chesney posted an Instagram message today (Sept. 7) regarding the damage Hurricane Irma has inflicted on the Caribbean, saying, in part, “I’ve never been in war, but the devastation, the people’s faces in a place I know by heart have left me feeling helpless. It’s total devastation . . . Most everyone’s displaced. They are frightened, confused, and they don’t know where help is going to come from.”

Hurricane Irma hammered many small islands in the northeast Caribbean on Sept. 6, including Barbuda, St. Martin and the Virgin Islands, tearing down trees, flattening homes and causing widespread damage. 10 deaths have been reported.

As the nation continues to pull together to help the victims of last week’s Hurricane Harvey, Kenny is hoping to figure out a way to help those who have been affected by Hurricane Irma.

“I don’t know how we’re going to do this. But I want to help. I want to enlist my friends to figure out the best ways to make a difference, to help in whatever ways, small or large, that we can. I’m blessed with so many great people . . . We’re already talking, trying to figure out how to get in there.”

Florida Georgia Line Featured on New Pop Song By Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso [Listen]

Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley must really love to collaborate with other artists.

On their 2016 album, Dig Your Roots, the duo teamed with Ziggy Marley on “Life Is a Honeymoon,” Tim McGraw on “May We All” and the Backstreet Boys on “God, Your Mama, and Me.”

Tyler and Brian also recently joined forces with Hank Williams Jr. and Jason Derulo to record a new version of “All My Rowdy Friends Are Here on Monday Night” for ESPN’s Monday Night Football, which will debut on Sept. 11.

But that’s not all.

Tyler and Brian will hit the pop charts on Sept. 8 as featured artists on “Let Me Go,” a new tune by Hailee Steinfeld and Alesso that also features Andrew Watt.

“Let Me Go” will go for immediate pop radio airplay on Sept. 8, with the first adds set to be reported on Sept. 12.

Check out a sample of the new tune below.
