At a press conference today (Aug. 15), Dolly Parton announced the upcoming release of a new children’s album, I Believe In You, which will be available digitally on Sept. 29 and in stores on Oct. 13.
The new album features 14 songs that Dolly wrote and recorded for kids and those young at heart. All of the proceeds from the album will support Dolly’s Imagination Library in Sevierville, Tenn. Since its beginning in 1996 in Dolly’s hometown of Sevierville, the Imagination Library has expanded into four countries serving more than 1 million children by providing a brand-new, age-appropriate book each month.
“My first album was released 50 years ago and it’s been an amazing 50 years since then,” said Dolly. “I am very excited that now I’m coming out with my first children’s album in all of those 50 years. I’m proudest of all that all of the proceeds from this CD will go to the Imagination Library. It’s been 20 years since the Imagination Library was launched. We’ve seen 100 million books get into the hands of children and hopefully there will be many more.”

Kenny Chesney is bringing his unique and energetic stadium shows to life on a new 30-song album, Live In No Shoes Nation, which is slated to be released on Oct. 27.
“You record songs, you put ’em on a record . . . people think it stops there,” said Kenny. “Even when it’s on the radio, that’s really between the listener and their life. But when you have people in your life like No Shoes Nation, I’ve come to believe, we figure out what these songs really mean when we get out there on the road and sing ’em together.”
The new live album includes songs curated from the last 10 years of Kenny’s live shows, and also featuring prominent guest artists such as Eric Church, Grace Potter, the Zac Brown Band, Dave Matthews and more.
“No Shoes Nation not only knows no boundaries, we love all kinds of music,” Kenny said, regarding his eclectic list of collaborators. “It’s why Grace Potter is as loved as Eric Church, why David Lee Murphy gets the same response as Zac Brown and his guys. We love life, we love music and we all really love each other.”

Singer/songwriter J.R. Ward isn’t just talking the talk when it comes to helping find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease . . . he’s walking the walk.
The Tennessee native, who works for a home healthcare company in Florida, volunteers his time by playing music at assisted-living facilities.
After witnessing firsthand the impact Alzheimer’s has on both individuals and families, J.R. was inspired to pen and record a new single, “Ready to Go,” with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
“Glen Campbell’s fight against Alzheimer’s really brought to light on a national level how devastating the disease is,” says J.R. to Nash Country Daily. “But also witnessing firsthand how traumatic the disease is on families and patients inspired me—it moved me. I sat down and wrote the lyrics to ‘Ready to Go’ after watching an Alzheimer’s patient interact with his son. I hope the song has a far-reaching impact. That’s why I’m donating 100 percent of the proceeds of the downloads of the song to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.”
“Ready to Go” is available for $0.99 on iTunes, Amazon Music and Google Play, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s until Dec. 1.

Macon, Ga., native Jason Aldean returned to his hometown on Aug. 11 to headline his second annual Concert for the Kids.
Jason, with the help of opener Luke Combs, treated the sold-out crowd to a night of music and helped raise $702,209 for the development of Macon’s new Children’s Hospital. Combined with last year’s effort, Jason has now raised more than $1.2 million for the construction of the region’s only dedicated pediatric hospital.
After spending the day with patients and families at the current facility, Jason was honored by having a a street at the Children’s Hospital renamed Jason Aldean Way.
“Macon will always be my roots,” said Jason. “When I moved away to chase music, all I wanted to do was make my family and hometown proud. But, I’m just a singer. I’m honored to be able to do do what I do to help raise money, but the doctors and staff are the heroes and are changing these kids lives.”
