Willie Nelson Cuts Short Salt Lake City Show Due to Respiratory Issues

Willie Nelson was forced to cut short his concert in Salt Lake City last night (Aug. 13) due to respiratory issues caused by elevation.

The 84-year-old county music icon was performing at USANA Amphitheatre, which has an elevation of 4,300 feet, when he began to experience breathing problems and exited the stage. A bandmate told the crowd that Willie needed a break, before the show was ultimately canceled.

Willie posted a message on Twitter this monring (Aug. 14) to let everyone know he was feeling better, stating, “This is Willie, I am sorry to have to cut the SLC show short tonight. The altitude got to me. I am feeling better now & headed for lower ground.

Willie was forced to cancel a handful of shows in January and February due to an undisclosed illness, but has been touring steadily since then. Willie is slated to perform in Saratoga, Calif., on Aug. 15.

Kelsea Ballerini Reveals Track Listing & Songwriters for Upcoming Album, “Unapologetically”

Kelsea Ballerini Reveals Track Listing & Songwriters for Upcoming Album, “Unapologetically”

Kelsea Ballerini announced the track listing and songwriters for her upcoming sophomore album, Unapologetically, which drops on Nov. 3.

The new 12-song offering features tunes from songwriters Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman, Hillary Lindsey, Ashley Gorley and more. Kelsea had a hand writing or co-writing all 12 songs.

“[Unapologetically] is about years 21 through 23,” says Kelsea to Nash Country Daily. It really is. It starts with a gross breakup that I had. It talks about the darkness of that. I haven’t really . . . ‘Peter Pan’ is like as much of a breakup as I went into on the first record, because that’s really the only feeling of a breakup that I’d had at that point. This one definitely gets darker than that. But then it takes you through the darkness of that, the bounce back from that, into just growing up and finding who I am as a young girl. New insecurities that I have, all of that, into meeting [fiancé] Morgan [Evans] and getting engaged. It talks about all of it.”
