Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and his wife, Hayley, announced they were expecting their first child—a baby boy—in June. As it turns out, blood tests aren’t always correct.

Today (Aug. 4) on Instagram, Tyler revealed that he and Hayley are actually expecting a girl.

Tyler posted a pic of his family with the caption: “Gods got jokes……After thinking we are having a boy for the last few months, turns out the blood test was wrong and we’re actually having a little girl. Woe… so many emotions but really really excited about this next chapter even if God does like throwing us a curve ball every now and then. Just keeping us on our toes. #daddysgirl.”

Watch the Trailer for the New Showtime Documentary on Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

Showtime will premiere a new documentary on Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on Nov. 17.

Tim & Faith: Soul2Soul will give fans an inside look at the superstar couple on the road through their latest Soul2Soul Tour, with a focus on how Tim and Faith brought their signature tour back to life after 10 years.

“We’re really excited about [the tour] because it’s such a musical show,” said Tim to Nash Country Daily in April. “The band—there’s a lot of moments in this show that really highlights how good our band is—they are fantastic. We’ve been looking forward to this for a long time. For me, the chances that I get to watch Faith sing, it’s like a Nascar trying to keep up with an Indy car when we’re out there. Nascar is pretty good, but Indy car is fast. It’s a long show, we’re getting to play some great songs that we really love and we have a few surprises for everyone in there.”

“Tim is one of the greatest entertainers that’s ever graced the stage and that is the honest-to-God truth,” added Faith. “I haven’t been on tour in 10 years, but we worked really, really hard for many months preparing, putting together, dissecting this show with a lot of very talented people. So once the moment comes that we are actually able to get on the road and get going and out there playing for the fans, it’s like a celebration when we hit the stage.”

Tim & Faith: Soul2Soul premieres on Showtime on Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. CT.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee football team is ranked No. 24 in the preseason Amway Coaches Poll released on Thursday, marking three straight years the Vols will open the season ranked by the coaches.

UT is one of only 10 teams to capture preseason rankings in the poll each of the last three seasons. It also marks the first time in nine years (2006-07-2008) the Vols have had a three-season stretch of preseason rankings from the coaches.

Tennessee opened the season ranked No. 25 by the coaches in 2015 and debuted at No. 10 in 2016. UT appeared in 11 of 16 polls conducted by the coaches a year ago.

Tennessee has won 15 of its last 19 games heading into the 2017 campaign and is coming off a second consecutive 9-4 record. The Vols have won three straight bowls for the first time in 20 years and are coming off three straight winning seasons for the first time in 12 years.

The Orange and White open the fall against Georgia Tech on Labor Day (Sept. 4) at 8 p.m. in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. The Vols and Yellow Jackets will clash in the second game ever played at the Atlanta Falcon’s brand-new, state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Stadium, following the tilt between No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Florida State on Sept. 2.

The Vols join five other SEC teams in the preseason Coaches Poll: No. 1 Alabama, No. 12 LSU, No. 13 Auburn, No. 15 Georgia and No. 16 Florida. Texas A&M, Arkansas and Mississippi State received votes in the poll.

UT is scheduled to face four of those ranked conference opponents in addition to Georgia Tech, who received votes in the preseason poll. The Vols face the 16th-ranked Gators in Gainesville on Sept. 16, welcome the 15th-ranked Bulldogs on Sept. 30, travel to face the preseason top-ranked Crimson Tide on Oct. 31 in Tuscaloosa and host the No. 12-ranked Tigers on Nov. 18.

Tennessee returns 14 starters in 2017, including senior tight Ethan Wolf and senior offensive lineman Jashon Robertson, who are projected to be four-year starters for the Vols as well as 2015 First Team All-America kick returner Evan Berry, leading tackler senior Todd Kelly (71 stops in 2016) and second-leading rusher John Kelly (630 yards, 6.4 ypc, five TDs).

[Exclusive Photo Gallery] Jason Aldean Celebrates Three No. 1 Singles With a Party at the Wildhorse Saloon

Yesterday (Aug. 2) at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon, Jason Aldean celebrated the success of three recent No. 1 singles—“Lights Come On,” “A Little More Summertime” and “Any Ol’ Barstool”—with friends, songwriters and industry professionals.

As guests noshed on an array of appetizers, including hot chicken biscuits, deviled eggs and fried pickles, Jason performed each single with the songwriting team behind the No. 1 tunes, which included:

“Lights Come On”

  • Brad Warren
  • Brett Warren
  • Tyler Hubbard
  • Brian Kelley
  • Jimmy Robbins
  • Jordan Schmidt

“A Little More Summertime”

  • Wendell Mobley
  • Tony Martin
  • Jerry Flowers

“Any Ol’ Barstool”

  • Josh Thompson
  • Deric Ruttan

“This is one of those things that never really gets old, I mean, we’ve been doing this thing now for 12 years and I remember very vividly the first party like this we had and how excited I was,” said Jason. “It’s still exciting and we’re fortunately in a position now where songs kind of run up the chart faster than they used two, about half the time it used to take ’em, and for now I like to enjoy it, whether it’s one, two, three or whatever. I’m just glad we’re able to still throw ’em.”

Jimmy’s blog: McCleskey overcomes odds to make Knoxville Hall of Fame

By Jimmy Hyams

When J. J. McCleskey walked on at Tennessee, the Karns High School product was about 5-foot-5 and 135 pounds.

Nobody gave him a chance to make a mark in college, not even lower level programs.

You can measure size but you can’t measure heart. And it was heart – doused with a mix of competitive spirit – that allowed McCleskey to become a captain at Tennessee, play both ways and enjoy an eight-year NFL career despite never touching the tape at 5-foot-8.

McCleskey will be inducted tonight into the 36th annual Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame along with eight others.

McCleskey might have overcome the longest odds of them all.

“It’s just an honor,’’ McCleskey said. “The past people that are already in the Hall of Fame have paved the way for me to be where I’m at today. It’s a humbling experience.’’

Where McCleskey is today is training young athletes. He’s in his sixth year of running Mental Edge, near New Orleans.

“I tell ya man, I get some great athletes,’’ McCleskey said. “But I get better kids that work hard.’’

He calls his facility Mental Edge because “in sports, if you have mental toughness, you have a mental edge. If you have the knowledge to study and have preparation, you can be better than what you are.’’

McCleskey said it’s important for high school and college – even pros – athletes to play to their speed. He said few do.

“There are ways to do that,’’ he said. “You just have to be disciplined and seek the wisdom for it.’’

McCleskey played to his speed and overachieved at Tennessee. His fearless nature contributed. He wasn’t scared to go head-to-head in practice with Carl Pickens or Alvin Harper. He wasn’t afraid to run routes against UT’s best DBs.

It was that attitude that helped him become a UT team captain in 1992 and play eight seasons in the NFL at receiver and cornerback for the Saints and Cardinals.

Some of McCleskey’s spunk has apparently been transferred to his won, receiver Jalen McCleskey, who is the leading returning receiver in the Big 12 after catching 73 passes as a sophomore for Oklahoma State last year.

McCleskey said his son fit the “culture’’ and “system’’ run by Oklahoma State.

“That’s the reason why he picked Oklahoma State,’’ McCleskey said.

Jalen wasn’t offered by Tennessee.

“People think that at one time that I was upset and everything,’’ McCleskey said, “but you have to go where you fit.

“Would I have loved for my son to play at the University of Tennessee? Absolutely. But was Oklahoma State the right fit for him? Absolutely.’’

And the Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame is the right fit for McCleskey, who battled long odds to make it big.
