Yesterday (May 24), Lauren Alaina held a “Number Onesie” party at Nashville’s Sutler Saloon to celebrate the No. 1 success of her hit single, “Road Less Traveled.”

Many of the revelers—including Lauren and the song’s co-writers, Meghan Trainor and Jesse Frasure—were decked out in custom onesies.
“I haven’t really planned much of this party,” said Lauren. “It’s a hobby of mine to plan parties, so I’m excited to see how it goes. But, I did plan the onesies. And, it was really weird for me, like, this party kind of made me realize, ‘Oh my goodness, I got a No. 1 song.’ It’s so crazy that I’m . . . this is like a No. 1 party of a song I wrote.”
Earlier this week (May 22), Lauren followed up her first-ever No. 1 single by releasing “Doin’ Fine” to country radio.
The semi-autobiographical tune, which was co-written by Lauren, Emily Shackleton and busbee, is the third single from Lauren’s sophomore album, Road Less Traveled.
“‘Doin’ Fine’ is a really special song because it’s uplifting, but really honest at the same time,” said Lauren. “If you don’t know me and you don’t know that that’s actually what I went through, you would almost think, ‘Oh my gosh, she really tried to write a country song,’ but the truth is, I really live a country song.”
Today (May 25) Luke Bryan announced that his ninth annual Farm Tour will visit six Midwest cities this fall. The tour will make stops at farms in Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri between Sept. 28–Oct. 7.
Over the years, Luke has awarded 50 college scholarships to local students from farming families within the communities the tour has played. This year’s tour will feature support from Jon Pardi, as well as additional openers to be announced in the coming weeks.
The video for Brooke Eden’s new single, “Act Like You Don’t,” will premiere on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown on May 27, but you don’t have to wait until Saturday to get your first glimpse of Brooke in action. Today (May 25) Nash Country Daily is premiering an exclusive photo gallery from the set of Brooke’s new video.
“Act Like You Don’t,” which was co-penned by Brooke, Jesse Frasure and Cary Barlowe, recounts Brooke’s struggle to heal from the heartbreak of a tough breakup.
“The video is a pretty literal interpretation of what I did after my breakup that influenced the song,” says Brooke to NCD. “I spent my time hanging out with my girls a lot, going out with my girls a lot, and just basically doing anything I could do to get my brain off of thinking about my breakup. It was important to me to be truthful and authentic with the song’s lyrics, so that’s exactly what I wanted to show in the video.”
The camera tags along as Brooke gets ready at her apartment for a night out, and follows along as Brooke and her girlfriends have a good time at one of Nashville’s favorite dive bars, Springwater.
“My role in the video is exactly what I did after the breakup,” says Brooke. “It’s like you really have to put yourself in the place of going back to two years ago and reliving when this was reality. I never wanted to be alone after my breakup. I wanted to be with all of my friends and just fill my brain with anything other than thinking about the breakup. I wasn’t bashing my ex, either. It was more like I needed to get away from the situation. I didn’t want to feel like a victim in the video. I want to feel victorious at the end of it and feel like I’m moving on from something instead.”
Tune in to CMT on May 27 to see the premiere of Brooke’s new video for “Act Like You Don’t.”
Check out NCD‘s exclusive photo gallery from the set.
Tim McGraw (50) and Faith Hill (49) are still turning heads with their music after more than 20 years, but their fitness level and diet may be just as eye-catching.
Country’s power couple is in the midst of their 70-plus-date Soul2Soul World Tour . . . and they like to stay energized with a healthy dose of local greens.
According to the Idaho Statesman, Soul2Soul Tour lead chef, Rob White, called in a lengthy order of greens to Peaceful Belly Farms for Tim and Faith’s tour stop in Boise on May 25.
Check out the list below:
Arugula
Salad Mix
Baby Chard
Green Baby Kale
Spinach
Baby Ming Qui
Baby Joy Choi
Green Garlic
Turnip Bunch
Radish Bunch
Rhubarb
Asparagus
“Who doesn’t love to support a local farmer?” said chef White to the Statesman. “It’s just a much superior product. It’s amazing for me to come through town, and I’m getting fresh asparagus from a local farmer.”
“Yeah, [Tim and Faith are] eating greens, because that’s how you look like that,” said Peaceful Belly Farm co-owner Josie Erskine. “You’re not going to look like that if you’re not eating healthy.”
Let this be a lesson to you—eat your greens, kids.

This is a compilation of names that have shown up on lists from media outlets, names that fans have asked me and those of us at Sports Radio WNML about AND names that make sense, in my opinion, for John Currie to look into for the head baseball coaching position at the University of Tennessee.
I’ve shared some background on each candidate and in some cases some analysis. I’m not endorsing all the names on the list. Some have virtually no chance to be UT’s baseball coach no matter how great they are. This is my way to address the candidacy of some of those names in one spot.
Some of the coaching records listed below will change slightly through conference tournaments.
Below the list of candidates below, you’ll find Vince’s Views on the types of candidates that are most likely to be hired, and based on that, the top 10 that fit the bill.

Todd Helton
-Current Tennessee Baseball Director of Player Development (volunteer position)
-Star player at Tennessee
-One of MLB’s all-time great hitters
-The name that would likely excite fans the most
-The “Peyton Manning” dream scenario for UT baseball fans with the same outcome
-There is at least one example of a star player with limited coaching experience coaching at his alma mater and succeeding…Darin Erstad at Nebraska, who like Helton, is one of the most decorated players ever from his school. He spent one year as a volunteer assistant in 2011 before taking over the program in 2012. He has been very successful there.
-Does he even have an interest in being a college baseball head coach?
-This job requires you to grind all year recruiting and you have to deal with limited scholarships and family involvement in their sons playing careers
-I’m confident this isn’t something he has any interest in doing
-He enjoys his family, golf, other business interests and schedule flexibility too much even though he loves the University of Tennessee
-You should concentrate on other candidates
Vince’s View
I believe that Tennessee will go the younger coach route for its next baseball coach, either as a rising assistant ready for their first program to run or a current head coach that’s fairly early in their career. Current or very recent SEC experience should be a very likely trait as well. Coaches with ties to John Currie are also strong possibilities.
With that criteria in mind, the 10 most likely candidates would be (in no order): John Szefc (Maryland HC), Andy Sawyers (Southeast Missouri HC), Erik Bakich (Michigan HC), Mark Calvi (South Alabama HC), Travis Jewett (Tulane), Brad Bohannon (Auburn Asst), Alan Dunn (LSU Asst), Mike Bell (FSU Asst), Mike Clement (Ole Miss Asst) and Tony Vitello (Arkansas Asst.)
If you set your expectations at former Vols in Major League Baseball, the broadcast booth or the UT hallways as a volunteer coach right now, you’re probably going to be disappointed. Half the league right now, as well as numerous elite coaches around the country, were hired without previous D1 head coaching experience. You can get a first-time, elite championship coach from the assistant ranks. The trick is, to pick the right one.
There are 38 options listed above. There’s a good chance the right pick is listed. Good luck with your pick.
Brett Young can add a feather to his cap and some coin to his pockets. His sophomore single, “In Case You Didn’t Know,” has been certified platinum by the RIAA for sales of 1 million units. Brett is the only country artist to reach the milestone with a song released in 2017.
Co-written by Brett, Tyler Reeve, Kyle Schlienger and Trent Tomlinson, the single is currently No. 2 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.
“You know, when it was done being written, I think we all looked at each other and went, ‘I think that’s a wedding song,’” said Brett to Nash Country Daily. “In the process of writing the song, it was more about wanting to write something that everybody could relate to. In a way, I think men are really bad at saying ‘I love you.’ It’s strange because women need to hear it all the time. We were just talking about how, as a guy, you’ve got to remind yourself to say it. Even if you feel like you’re saying it too much, maybe it comes out like, ‘Hey, you know I love you, right?’ or, ‘Hey, in case you didn’t know, I love you.’ I think we just wanted to keep it really simple and down the middle so that everybody that listened to the song could make it their story. In the process, we accidentally stumbled on a wedding song.”
Brett joins artists Ed Sheeran, Future, The Chainsmokers and Katy Perry with platinum certifications for new songs in 2017.
