Today (Feb. 27) Brett Eldredge released the video for his new single, “Somethin’ I’m Good At,” the first taste of music from his upcoming fourth studio album.

The new video, which was directed by Ethan Lader, features a dapperly dressed Brett strolling the street as he haphazardly sets off a chain of chaotic events. While Brett may be a walking disaster, in the end, he’s still charming enough to make his girl smile.

“There’s never been a song that fits my personality more than this one,” said Brett in a statement. “This song is literally me in three minutes. It is my personality, it is my life, it is the imperfections that, if you embrace them and love them, you’re going to find something you’re good at.”

Sam Hunt Takes His Time During Intimate Nashville Show

Sam Hunt Takes His Time During Intimate Nashville Show

It was a packed house Thursday night (Feb. 24) when Sam Hunt took the stage at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley for the NASH Icon Rhythm and Boots concert, benefiting Musicians On Call.

Sporting a full beard and decked out in all black—complete with signature ball cap—Sam had the crowd mesmerized with his smooth vocals during the intimate performance of such hits as, “Leave The Night On,” “Take Your Time,” and “Break Up In A Small Town.”

The Georgia native also gave fans a sneak peek at what they’ll hear if they catch Sam on his 15 in a 30 Tour, kicking off June 1 in Cleveland, with Maren Morris, Chris Janson and newcomer Ryan Follese.

“I wanna give you all a preview, Sam said of his upcoming tour. “I want to tell you all who we got going out with us. We got Maren Morris, Chris Janson and Ryan Follese, so we want to give you a preview of the tour. We don’t have Maren here, but we got Tim over here and he can sing his tail off. So we’re gonna do a little bit of one of Maren’s songs if that’s alright. You gotta help us sing.”

And with the crowd on their feet, the band broke into Maren’s biggest hit, “My Church.”

Sam ended the show by treating the audience to his current single, “Body Like a Backroad,” a tune he co-wrote with Zach Crowell, Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally. The single is part of Sam’s plan to release new music as he finishes it, instead of delaying the release to make it part of a larger project.

“We put out our first single two weeks ago. You all have supported us. It really blew our minds with the success of this song so far. Thank you so much for helping us get this music to these fans out here, it really means the world,” Sam said before launching into his current single.

“Nashville you’ve all been a blast,” he said before exiting the stage. “NASH, thank you guys so much for having us out. Musicians On Call, it’s such a great thing that you do. UMG, country radio we love you all. Fans especially, we love you all so much. You all be careful tonight. Cheers, you all be good.”

And with that, Sam was gone.

The Rhythm and Boots concert—organized by Nash Icon—was created to bring fans up close and personal with new music as well as new talent. The series kicked off last year with artists such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Jason Aldean, and Trace Adkins. Part of the proceeds from the series benefit Musicians On Call, an organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.

The next Rhythm and Boots concert will take place on March 14, featuring Dylan Scott and LoCash. Tickets are available here.

LoCash’s Chris Lucas and wife Kaitlyn Expecting Baby Number 3

LoCash’s Chris Lucas and wife Kaitlyn Expecting Baby Number 3

Congratulations are in order for LoCash’s Chris Lucas and his wife Kaitlyn, who revealed to Nash Country Daily that they are expecting their third child in September. Chris, already a father of two, shares that baby No. 3 will be their last.

“We have one on the way,” Chris told Nash Country Daily. “It will be three, I think I’m done after that. My wife is done for sure.”

The new baby will join older brother Caden (6) and older sister Remi McKenna (10 months), who was born in March 2016. Chris and Kaitlyn have yet to find out the sex of the new baby.

“We’ll know in two weeks, I will call and let you know. Actually [Preston’s] wife will do the reveal for us,” Chris shared. “She’ll know before any of us.”

“I didn’t know this,” Preston [Brust] joked of his wife’s involvement. “This is awesome, great news. Married life, I don’t even know what’s going on.”

Older brother, Caden has already adjusted to his role as big brother to Remi and will have plenty more practice before his second sibling arrives.

“He loves being an older brother,” Chris added about his first born. “He’s very protective of her, very protective. I yelled at her the other day and he’s like ‘Dad, you don’t yell at her.’ I was like, ‘You know what, alright buddy that’s a good thing.'”

The guys of LoCash are having a great year both professionally and personally. Not only did they both have baby girls in the last year, but professionally, the duo received their first ACM nomination for New Vocal Duo of The Year.

In addition, LoCash released their current album, The Fighters, in 2016—which features their current single, “Ring On Every Finger”— and have seen their first two singles from the album, “I Love This Life” and “I Know Somebody,” hit the Top 5 on the Billboard Airplay chart, with the latter reaching the No. 1 spot.

NCD offers our heartfelt congratulations to the happy couple.

Success Is “Everywhere” for Mo Pitney

Success Is “Everywhere” for Mo Pitney

For 24-year-old singer/songwriter Mo Pitney, there is no metric that determines his success. But by all discernible benchmarks, Mo has had a very successful 12 months. In addition to getting married to his sweetheart, Emily, in March 2016, Mo dropped his Top 10 debut album, Behind This Guitar, in October and welcomed a baby daughter, Evelyne Nadine, in January 2017.

“I’ve always asked myself the question, ‘What is success?’” says Mo to NCD. “I think it’s to make it to wherever God intended me to make it. I work hard, I try to write the best songs I can and sing the best songs I can. Wherever that’s going to take me, that’s success for me.”

Where it took him was “Everywhere.” Between changing diapers and late-night feedings, Mo released his new single, “Everywhere,” to country radio on Feb. 13. While the love song stays true to Mo’s authentic-sounding roots, it is the crooner’s most radio-friendly single to date.

“I hope people hear ‘Everywhere,’ and I hope it moves them and it is helpful in their everyday life,” says Mo. “That would be tremendously successful for me. Obviously, the more people it affects, the better.”

As Mo continues to make headway on country radio with “Everywhere,” he’s staying busy with performance dates, including the Grand Ole Opry, where he has become a crowd favorite. The Opry audience appreciates an old soul, even if the body is only 24 years old.

“I like to think I’m [an old soul],” says Mo. “I just know that I’m me. I know that I have felt love. I know that I have felt heartbreak. I know that I’ve had struggles in my life. I feel like I do have things to write about. I’m looking forward to the rest of my life to get more insight and more things to write about. If that’s an old soul or not, I guess other people can determine that, but I think I’m not going to change anytime soon.”

Country’s Hippest New Trio, Midland, Reveals Lawbreaking New Video for “Drinkin’ Problem”

Country’s Hippest New Trio, Midland, Reveals Lawbreaking New Video for “Drinkin’ Problem”

Country’s coolest new trio, Midland—made up of Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson—released their brand new video for their current single, “Drinkin Problem.”

The video—shot in Lockhart, Texas, and directed by bass player Cameron Duddy, whose past directorial credits include music videos for Bruno Mars (“24k Magic”) and Jennifer Lopez (“Ain’t Your Mama”)—finds the guys illegally selling moonshine to finance a recording of their current single in order to get it on radio. While the guys enjoy the fruits of their money-making labor in a local bar, they are soon tracked down by police. Just when you think Mark, Jess and Cameron are done for, the video takes a turn with the guys eluding the long arm of the law.

On set direction: Cameron Duddy (L) directs, as Mark Wystrach looks on.

“It’s really special to be making a music video for our project that is our heart and our soul and everything we got,” said Mark in a statement. “We gathered our friends, family and even the kind folks at the Lockhart police department for a video that’s really going to bring the essence of Midland out.”

“People say I’ve got a drinkin’ problem / That ain’t no reason to stop / People sayin’ that I’ve hit rock bottom / Just cause I’m living on the rocks / It’s a broken hearted thinkin’ problem / So pull that bottle off the wall / People say I got a drinkin’ problem  /But I got no problem drinkin’ at all,” the guys sing in the chorus.

Midland’s five song self-titled EP is available now and features the current single, “Drinkin’ Problem.” The trio will be hitting the road as part of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s Soul2Soul Tour—joining the tour for four dates in April.

The “Wanna Be That Song” singer has proven that by releasing seven consecutive songs that have hit the top of the charts, including “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” his duet with pop artist Meghan Trainor —featured on his 2016 Christmas album, Glow. Hoping to continue that streak, Brett has released his newest single, “Somethin’ I’m Good At.”

Luke Bryan Thanks Fans for “Lifting” Him Up After the Death of His Niece

Luke Bryan Thanks Fans for “Lifting” Him Up After the Death of His Niece

At the Ryman Auditorium on February 23, Luke Bryan spoke publicly for the first time about the death of his infant niece, Sadie Brett Boyer, who succumbed to a congenital heart defect on February 21.

During Universal Music Group’s luncheon at the Ryman—which is part of Country Radio Seminar—Luke addressed the crowd, saying: “I’ll tell you what, when I’m checking my socials and see so many of you guys that are kind of lifting my family up, I really appreciate it. It means the world to me.”

Sadie Brett Boyer, who was affectionately known as Brett, was the daughter of Ellen Wells Boyer and Bo Boyer (the brother of Luke’s wife, Caroline).

It’s another sad loss for the Bryan family. In 1996, Luke’s older brother, Chris, died in a car accident, followed by the unexpected death of his sister, Kelly, in 2007. In 2015, tragedy struck again when Luke’s brother-in-law, Ben Lee Cheshire, passed away.
