With more than 200 acts hitting 14 stages around town, Music City becomes Roots Music City for the week. “Forever Country”

[Brad Paisley] Almost heaven, West Virginia
[Keith Urban] Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
[Tim McGraw] Life is old there, older than the trees
[Faith Hill] Younger than the mountains
[Tim McGraw and Faith Hill] Growin’ like a breeze

[Little Big Town] Country roads, take me home
[Luke Bryan] To the place
[Luke Bryan and Miranda Lambert] I belong
[Miranda Lambert] West Virginia,
[Luke Bryan] Mountain momma
[Blake Shelton] Take me home,
[George Strait] Country roads

[Kacey Musgraves] (If I should stay)
[Eric Church] All my memories, they gather ‘round her
[Kacey Musgraves] (I would only be in your way)
[Ronnie Milsap] A Miner’s lady, stranger to blue water
[Charley Pride (Musgraves Harmony on 2nd half)] (So I’ll go, yet I know)
[Dierks Bentley] Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
[Trisha Yearwood] (I’ll think of you each step of the way)
[Dierks Bentley] Misty taste of moonshine, teardrops in my eyes

[Lady Antebellum] Country roads, take me home
[Blake Shelton] To the place I belong
[Carrie Underwood] (And I will always love you)
[George Strait] West Virginia, mountain momma
[Martina McBride] (I will always love you)
[Darius Rucker] Take me home country roads

[Jason Aldean] On the road again
[Rascal Flatts] Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
[Jason Aldean] We’re the best of friends
[Willie Nelson] Insisting that the world keep turning our way
[Willie Nelson] Turning our way

[Brooks & Dunn] Country Roads
[Alabama] (Country Roads)
[Brooks & Dunn] Take me home
[Alabama] (Take me home)
[Darius Rucker] To the place I belong

Watch Kelsea Ballerini Interview Icon Dolly Parton in New Cracker Barrel Video

A couple of east Tennessee gals—Kelsea Ballerini and Dolly Parton—got together for a rockin’ interview in the newest installment of Cracker Barrel’s Front Porch series.

After Kelsea picked the brain of her “strong woman” icon, the two played a little game of Real or Fake . . . as relating to country song titles.

Kenny Chesney Releases Hot New Video for “Setting the World on Fire”

Kenny Chesney Releases Hot New Video for “Setting the World on Fire”

Kenny Chesney has debuted the new video for “Setting the World on Fire”—a duet with pop star P!nk—today (Sept. 15), but neither Kenny nor P!nk are present in the video other than passing billboards of their images.

While the video would have been more powerful with the superstar couple in the leading roles, it features a young attractive couple spending the day on La Cienga Blvd. and parts of Santa Monica, frolicking on the beach, driving in a convertible and getting frisky in a hotel room. The video, shot in black and white, stays true to the lyrics depicting the love story of a couple setting their own little world on fire.

“Up all night and we were feelin’ so good / Yeah, we got a little higher than we probably should / We were in a hotel singin’ in the hallway lights / We were strikin’ the matches right down to the ashes / Setting the world on fire, setting the world on fire.”

“Setting the World on Fire” is the first single from Kenny’s upcoming album, Cosmic Hallelujah, due out on Oct. 28.

Check out the new video for “Setting The World on Fire.”

Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley and More Gather for Major Country Event

Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley and More Gather for Major Country Event

You may have seen some of the mysterious videos that many country artists such as Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Little Big Town, Keith Urban and Dierks Bentley have posted on their social media sites. The videos show a short clip of the artist singing a snippet of a song, ending with the date 9.20.16 and #Forever Country on a black background. Strange, right?

Well, we now know that in honor of the 50th annual CMA Awards on Nov. 2, the CMA has created a major event to celebrate its golden anniversary: 30 country artists singing one song. Those clips represent the single “Forever Country,” which will be performed by 30 of country’s biggest CMA-award-winning artists and accompanied by a music video.

Produced by songwriter Shane McAnally and directed by Joseph Kahn, the video is set to a medley of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” Willie Nelson’s “On The Road Again” and Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You.”

You will be able to hear the song “Forever Country” tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 16) when the CMA teams up with country radio to have hundreds of stations simultaneously premiere the song at 8:30 a.m ET. But alas, to build the suspense, you must wait until Tuesday, Sept. 20—hence the date on the video clips—to see the worldwide premiere of the video.

“‘Forever Country’ is a moving tribute to country music, country music fans, and the artists who have built this format into what it is today,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA CEO. “This music video is the product of the CMA Board of Directors who came together in support of this project as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards, a statement on the heritage and future of the country music industry, and a reflection of this year’s Awards theme: Then. Now. Forever Country.”

For now, take a look at the clips from CMA Award winning artists and get ready for Sept. 20.

It’s a Girl! Dierks Bentley Adds to the Family

It’s a Girl! Dierks Bentley Adds to the Family

Dierks Bentley’s trusted furry friend Jake—well known to many of Dierks’ fans—left the Bentley family this past July. The 15-year-old dog was at Dierks’ side at everything from red carpets and radio interviews to family events and onstage.

Since Jake’s passing, it seems that Dierks’ other dog, George, was getting a little lonely. So Dierks and his family headed over to the Nashville Humane Society to get George a friend. And they got an adorable one at that.

“In and out in about 10 minutes, we got a dog,” Dierks said in the video. “We don’t have a name yet, we got a dog.”

However, the new pup needs a name. He looks like a Bentley to me. But then Bentley Bentley wouldn’t be too cool. Maybe you can help Dierks out with a name.

Dierks posted the adorable video of his family picking up the new addition on his Facebook page, writing “our other dog George has been so lonesome since Jake left us…thanks @nashvillehumane @HumaneSociety. need a name!”

That’s one lucky and cute dog!
