Colonial Pipeline officials are in Loudon County investigating following a gasoline leak.

Multiple county and state crews responding to the leak from the Colonial Pipeline on Sugar Limb Road.

Colonial Pipeline Spokesperson, Meredith Stone, told WVLT News they were notified after a resident smelled gas.

The company sent crews and immediately shut down line 18, which runs from Atlanta to Knoxville. Stone says that about 591 barrels were spilled due to a valve failure.

Workers had the line fixed and back up within 24 hours. Crews with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation also helped seal the leak and control the environmental hazards.

They say the surrounding waterways were not affected as of yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.

There are no health advisories issued.

There is no timeline of when the cleanup will be complete.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has started the road construction project on interstate 640 East and West bound.

Motorists need to be aware that I-640 East and West will be reduced from three lanes to two lanes and traffic shifted between Mile Marker 6 (Broadway exit) and I-40. This is the start of rubblization activities in the area, and lane closures will be in place 24/7. This is method which saves time and money by reducing existing concrete into rubble at its current location rather than hauling it to another location which creates a base for new roadways.

Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.

Kelsea Ballerini’s Music Video for “heartfirst” is Out Now

Kelsea Ballerini‘s current single is “heartfirst.”

Kelsea shares the story behind the song, “I wrote this song ‘Heartfirst’ with my friends, Karen Fairchild of course, from Little Big Town, and Alysa Vanderheym. And we were all just talking about music that we’re inspired by right now, and wanting to write something upbeat, warm and free-feeling, and just being people who follow our gut and lead with our heart, and this is what we came up with.”

Cody Johnson Recalls Playing a Great Show that Started Rough

Cody Johnson Recalls Playing a Great Show that Started Rough

Cody Johnson’s current single at country radio is “Human” – the title track to his double album of the same name.

When you play as many shows as Cody does – things are bound to not be perfect each and every time.

Cody recalls a performance where the power went out – but instead of ruining the evening, it turned out to be a memorable night, “We had the power go out at a show and I wound up playing for an hour…me and my guitar, my fiddler player, my guitar player…we played on a basketball PA that we powered from the bus generators with extension cords in front of 8000 people. Now, they thought it was pretty cool, and so did I.”

Cody is staying busy on the road with shows this weekend in Ohio and Illinois, and then shows all the way through to his date with Luke Combs at Mercedes Benz Stadium on the 30th of July.

The description of the movie is…

The Return Of Tanya Tucker follows Tanya’s richly creative, utterly captivating, bumpy ride back to the top as Brandi encourages her to push past her fears to create a new sound and reach a new audience. D1Baseball.com Freshman All-America Teams

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee pitcher Chase Burns was tabbed the National Freshman of the Year by D1Baseball.com on Friday, marking the third national freshman of the year honor for the Vols’ talented right hander.

Burns was also named the NCBWA Freshman National Pitcher of the Year and the Collegiate Baseball National Co-Freshman Player of the Year following his impressive debut season at UT. The hard-throwing frosh has been selected to four All-America teams and garnered three freshman All-America honors, as well (see list below).

Burns is the first pitcher in program history to earn three national award honors in the same season. The last Tennessee pitcher prior to Burns to take home a national award was Luke Hochevar, who won the Roger Clemens Award in 2005. Burns and former AL Cy Young Award winner R.A. Dickey (1994) are the only players in program history to be selected to four All-America teams as true freshmen.

The Gallatin, Tennessee, native had a phenomenal freshman season for the Big Orange, finishing with an 8-2 record and 2.91 ERA to go along with 103 strikeouts while serving as the Vols’ Friday night starter for the majority of the season. Burns’ eight wins are tied for the fifth most by a UT freshman and his 103 punchouts rank third in program history by a freshman.

Burns finished the year ranked among the top five in the SEC in strikeouts per nine innings (3rd – 11.54), ERA (5th – 2.91), strikeouts (5th – 103), wins (t-5th – 8) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (5th – 4.12).

D1Baseball.com also released its Freshman All-America teams on Friday, with Burns and fellow starting pitcher Drew Beam earning first-team honors.

Beam was another standout in UT’s weekend rotation this season, earning SEC Freshman of the Year honors after posting an 8-1 record to go along with a 2.72 ERA in a team-high 15 starts. The Murfreesboro, Tennessee, native held opposing hitters to a .186 batting average and had an impressive 0.93 WHIP. His 2.72 ERA ranks fourth best all-time among Tennessee freshmen while he and Burns are tied for fifth in program history in wins by a freshman with eight.

Beam’s long list of accolades this season includes All-SEC second team and SEC All-Freshman team honors, as well as Freshman All-America honors from three other publications. He was also named an NCBWA Second Team All-American and was a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy.
