June is not only the time for Father’s Day, but a lot of people plane their vacations around this time of year.
Cody Johnson, who is the proud dad to two daughters, like to get away with his family for some fun. Cody grew up a lake guy, but has converted to a beach and ocean guy as he likes to head down to the Gulf Shores.
Cody shares, “We like to go to Fort Morgan, Alabama…it’s near Gulf Shores, and we’ll spend about 10-12 day just no shoes, sitting on the beach, and hanging out and grilling and pretending that the rest of the world doesn’t exist. Just hanging out at the beach, it’s so relaxing and so therapeutic. I grew up on a lake, and we always fished and stuff like that, but I never realized I was a beach guy, but I could sit on a beach with a cocktail and watch those waves for hours.”
Cody says “Being a girl dad is pretty much the best. Happy Father’s Day to all the daddies out there!”

Brad, dad to Huck and Jasper, does his best – like all parent to pass down worthy advice to his kids, “One thing I told my kids was, ‘as long as you believe in what you are doing in life and you know what you did is good, then I will be proud of you.’ And that was really advice for me.”
Of course, Brad’s dad, Doug, dished out some honest advice to him when he was starting his career in music, “My dad used to tell me when I was playing music as a kid because I started playing live music at 10 or 11. Playing a little band I had at 13 and singing… I was booked pretty solid in this little town where we were from because I was a novelty act. It was a 12 year old standing there and singing Lee Greenwood’s ‘God Bless the USA,’ you can’t go wrong (laughter). That’s just money in the bank. But he used to say, ‘you’re pretty good for 12, but when you’re 18 you gotta be better than this because you won’t be cute anymore.’ He would never mince words that way, and that was truly good advice. And something that I think people need to realize. At some point you gotta get good at something. At first, maybe you worked your way to where you are getting’ but get good at it! This is a day and age where everybody thinks you can just do an embarrassing video and post it on Instagram and have a few seconds of fame, but do something else. Go get good at something.”
Along with his dad being a major influence in his life, Brad’s grandfather actually started Paisley out on the life path that he’s on today. Brad received his very first guitar from his grandfather for Christmas was he was a boy.
The two would play together, but recalls a time when one of the sessions led to a bit of heated debate between grandfather and grandson. “My grandpa and I had an argument back when I first started playin’ the guitar…well, not first…I guess I’d been playin’ for a couple years. And we were best buddies. And I came up the alley all upset, and I told my dad that he got mad at me. My dad called, and said, ‘What happened? What did you guys have a fight about?’ And he was hemmin’ and hawin’ around a little bit, and we’d been playin’ the guitar, and I guess I had showed him how to do somethin’, and he wasn’t gettin’ it. And I might’ve been a little short with him, and he ended up being a lot short with me. And long story short, he got mad at me because, he said, ‘Well, Doug, truth is, he did it better than I did.’ And he was just kind of mad at himself at the same time that he was really proud of me. And that’s pretty wild, and I remember that, and boy, no one would be prouder now.”
Happy Father’s Day to Brad Paisley, and all the other dad’s out there…
Tim is dad to his 3 daughters Gracie, Maggie and Audrey.
So now that his girls are adults, does Tim see any of his qualities in them, “It’s funny because Faith and I’ve talked about that a little bit, and I think we see each other in all three of ‘em. There’s little parts of us in all three of ‘em. They’re all completely different creatures, but they all have big hearts, and they all are very polite and they really respect people, and they all feel like they wanna make a difference in the world. Hopefully we’ve instilled that into them. And we’ve always also given them the opportunity to sort of explore themselves and find out who they are and try things.”
Audrey, Tim and his wife Faith Hill‘s youngest daughter has a connection to Tim’s latest single as she co-stars in the video.
Father to 5 year old GeorgeJames, and 3 year old Luke Randall, George says “Being a dad is the greatest experience of my life. It is amazing to me watching my two little boys grow into their personalities, and the excitement they live life with, even in the smallest things, re-energizes me and puts life in a whole new perspective.”
Brad talks about being a father to his sons, Drew and Cash, “I had the best role model as a kid. My Dad said very little, but when he did, everyone listened. Somehow I’ve taken the exact opposite approach, but I love nothing more than hanging out with my 2 boys. We talk each other’s ears off and are always laughing and chirping each other. I used to be their coach, but now they just make fun of my athletic abilities (or lack thereof) and beat me at everything!”
What did Brad get last year as a gift for Father’s Day, “Last year they got me a new pair of LeBrons for Father’s Day. I thought they’d help, but I still can’t dunk.”
Every parent knows that time is fleeting, and as soon as you turn around your kids will be grown, that’s why Brad says, “My biggest fear is saying ‘someday we’ll do that’ and running out of time. 2022 is the year of making every moment count!”
Anyone who follows Dylan Scott‘s socials knows that he’s a very dedicate dad to his two kids – son, Beckett, and daughter, Finley.
On Father’s Day normally it’s dads who are celebrated, but Dylan released a video letting everyone know how much he appreciates and loves his wife Blair – the woman who made him a father.
