When it Rains – Luke Combs Pours on a Great Stadium Show in Seattle

This past weekend Luke Combs played the second of his three stadium shows. First he had a snowy Denver, and Saturday he had a rainy Seattle…but of course, with Luke – when it rains, it pours.

Check out a little video cap from his show…

Luke shared, “When I was 15, I had a running back’s dreams but never did run too far… Thankfully the Broncos and Seahawks have made this ol’ boy’s dreams come true by getting to play in NFL stadiums!”

Luke adds, “Thank you for an unforgettable night and braving the rain with me, Seattle!”

Up next on Luke’s stadium run this year is Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on July 30th…

But technically while it’s not a solo show, Luke will also be playing Nissan Stadium in Nashville this Saturday as a part of CMA Music Fest.

Luke’s latest album Growin’ Up arrives for fans to check out on June 24th…

The 12-tracks on Growin’ Up includes his latest number-one hit “Doin’ This.”

The deal will see Dolly also starring in the movie that’s set to be produced by Reese’s company Hello Sunshine, along with James Patterson Entertainment and Sony.

Little Big Town‘s current single is “Hell Yeah.”

Little Big Town’s Jimi Westbrook shares the story behind the track, “Phillip and I wrote this with Tyler Hubbard and Corey Crowder. I remember when Corey brought that hook in that day. LBT’s Phillip Sweet added, “This song is a classic breakup song, flipped upside down. It’s pure feel-good vibes.”

“Hell Yeah” is from Little Big Town‘s upcoming 2022 project – which will be the group’s 10th studio album.

Medic Regional Blood Center is Teaming up with United Way of Greater Knoxville for a Summer Event

Medic Regional Blood Center is Teaming up with United Way of Greater Knoxville for a Summer Event

MEDIC is teaming up with the United Way of Greater Knoxville to collaborate with local nonprofits through August 31 to promote blood donation, stabilize the blood product inventory and provide mini-grants for the assistance.

All local nonprofit organizations are eligible to participate. Donors will complete a “voting” card that will be counted by MEDIC staff.

The nonprofit with the most votes is eligible to win a mini-grant in the amount of $5000 at the end of the summer. MEDIC and UWGK are also offering two mini-grants in June and July worth $1000 each. Donors who choose to donate on a bus can email their vote to [email protected].

“We see an increase in demand and a decrease in donations through the summer months leaving our inventory unstable and traditionally at critical levels,” said director of communications Kristy Altman. “This collaboration is a great way to give back to our fellow nonprofit partners while stocking the shelves.”

“Our organization is excited for this partnership and the opportunity to support local nonprofits and our community this summer,” says United Way of Greater Knoxville President & CEO Matt Ryerson. “Donating blood is one of the easiest ways for our neighbors to give back, and now they can support their favorite nonprofit while doing it.”

MEDIC is the primary blood product provider for major area hospitals including Blount Memorial Hospital, Covenant Healthcare System, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Tennova, and the University of Tennessee Medical Center along with other regional centers.

As a reminder, the blood on the shelves right now is the blood used in an emergency. It takes at least three days for collected red blood cells to be tested and processed and ready for distribution to hospitals.

Appointments are preferred, but walk-in donors are welcome. Donors can call 865-524-3074 to schedule their appointment or visit https://tndonor.org/donor/schedules/city to search for a drive closest to them and schedule their appointment.

Jason Aldean’s “Trouble With A Heartbreak” – 3 Weeks at Number-1 on Billboard Chart

Congrats to Jason Aldean who remains in the number-one spot on the Billboard country airplay chart with his song “Trouble With A Heartbreak.”

When Jason is looking to record songs, like “Trouble With A Heartbreak,” he thinks about how they’ll be during his concerts, “You know, I think when we’re in the studio trying to record things, we’re constantly looking at things that are gonna translate live, that we feel like, if we are playing an arena, or amphitheater, or stadium, or whatever we’re doing. What’s something that feels like a stadium anthem, it feels like something that, you know, people will be out there singing, and just something that feels big.”

Fans will get to hear how “Trouble With A Heartbreak” translates to a live show next month when Jason’s Rock N’ Roll Cowboy tour kicks off on July 15th in Scranton, PA.

“Trouble With A Heartbreak” – from Jason Aldean’s album, Georgia, is the number-one song on the Billboard country airplay chart for a third week in a row.

Heupel, Three VFLs On 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Ballot

Heupel, Three VFLs On 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Ballot

IRVING, Texas – Former Oklahoma national champion quarterback and Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel as well as three VFL greats appear on the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, the National Football Foundation (NFF) announced on Monday.

Defensive back Eric Berry and wide receivers Willie Gault and Larry Seivers represent the Volunteers on the ballot that includes 96 players.

Heupel, who guided the Vols to a record-setting offensive season in 2021, is on the ballot for a third straight year. A 2000 consensus first-team All-American, he led the Sooners to the 2000 national championship with a victory in the Orange Bowl. In two seasons, Heupel rewrote the Oklahoma record books and was the 2000 Heisman Trophy runner-up before going onto a successful coaching career.

Today, Heupel is in his fifth season as a head coach. Of the eight first-year Power Five head coaches in 2021, no coach won more regular season games than Heupel as the Vols recorded seven en route to the TransPerfect Music City Bowl.

Berry appears on the ballot for the second consecutive year. A two-time unanimous first-team All-American, Berry still holds two Southeastern Conference records – career interception return yards (494) and single-season return yards (265 in 2008). He captured the 2009 Thorpe Award as the nation’s best defensive back and was tabbed the 2008 SEC Defensive Player of the Year.

Berry was equally impressive in the NFL, garnering five Pro Bowl honors, three first-team All-Pro laurels, and he was selected to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.

A 1982 first-team All-American, Gault led Tennessee to three bowl berths and set six conference punt and kickoff return records. He tied the NCAA record for most kickoff return touchdowns in a single season with three in 1980.

Seivers was a two-time consensus first-team All-American in 1975 and 1976. In 1975, he became the first Vol to eclipse 800 receiving yards in a single season. He was also a two-time first-team All-SEC selection.

The announcement of the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be made in early 2023 with specific details to be announced in the future.

The 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted during the 65th NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec. 5, 2023, and permanently immortalized at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. They will also be honored at their respective schools with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the 2023 season.
