Kelsea Ballerini is climbing the country music airplay chart with “half of my hometown” – her Top-10 (and climbing) hit with Kenny Chesney.
On a recent appearance at the Grand Ole Opry not only did Kelsea reveal that she’s in the very early stages of working on a follow-up project to her 2020 album, but she also shared a song that might make the cut.
“What I Have” is the title of the track that Kelsea says the song was inspired by how people have kind of had to take a step back over the past couple of years and reflect on their lives. Kelsea adds that during that time she started to appreciate the little things a lot more.

It’s the end of January, and this is about the time when some New Year resolutions start to fail.
Did you make one? How’s it going?
Well, a lot of people try to start the new year with better eating habits, but the one thing that trips up many is late-night snacking.
Dan + Shay are right there with you. Shay Mooney admits that he and Dan Smyers try to stick to their meal plans, but after-hours trips to the kitchen seem to hit all of us.
Shay shares, “For me…I feel like Dan and I probably both struggle with it…I feel like everyone struggles with this, but late night snacking…I feel like you know there’s just those situations, you walk into the kitchen – you don’t even know what you’re looking for…it’s late at night and you’re just like I don’t even need anything I’m not even hungry.”
The struggle is real, and even Dan + Shay suffer from it.
Good news is that if you follow the dance routine their video for “Steal My Love” you might work off a couple of those late night snacks…

Lee Brice is following up the success of “One Of Them Girls” and “Memory I Don’t Mess With” with “Soul” – the third single from his 2020 album, Hey World.
Talking about his current single Lee says “Well, the story behind my song ‘Soul’ is the fact that I get to hear great song writers writing great songs all the time. I ran across this song…it just felt good to me. This is one that I didn’t write, but was so proud and so excited to get my vocal on, and to create something that sounds a little different than everything else that’s out there. You know getting to play it live is when I really see the song shine and seeing people just fall right into the groove immediately that’s been the story behind my song ‘Soul'”
Lee just released the music video for the song – which matches the fun and energy pulsing through the unconventional love song.
Brice shares, “We had a ball, with every aspect of this song…finding it, (thank you, JR), hearing it the first time, recording it, singing it, mixing it, shooting the video, all of it. I feel like ‘Hey World’ is my most diverse and at the same time cohesive record I’ve ever made. We have fun songs to mix in with the heavier ones and I couldn’t be happier with how this track turned out. The idea that our souls truly connect to each other in unexplainable ways has always been at the core of what I do as a musician, a writer, a producer, and a singer….and I think it’s a good reminder to keep with me every day. I hope everybody loves this song as much as I do.”

Congrats to Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan as their song “Buy Dirt” is now the number-one song in country music.
Talking about the track Jordan says, “This is the most special song I have released. From writing it with my brother and two of my best friends, to having Luke want to be a part of it…it’s going to be hard to top. To me this song is about faith, family, and friends. It’s a reminder to myself to always keep those top priority and in that order. It has been awesome to see so many people connect with that message.”
Jordan shares how he approached Luke with the song, “We sat around the fire after a golf tournament one day, smoking cigars and talking about everything BUT music. That conversation always stuck with me. Luke isn’t just a great entertainer; he’s a great Dad, a great husband, and a great friend, too. That’s what ‘Buy Dirt’ embodies. When I wrote ‘Buy Dirt,’ I knew he could relate to the song’s message. I took a chance and asked him to join me on the recording, and he said ‘yes’.”
“Buy Dirt” – his 4th chart-topper, also shares the name of Jordan’s upcoming tour…
“Buy Dirt” from Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan is the number-one on the Billboard country airplay chart this week.
Following the success of his hit song “Knowing You” – Kenny Chesney has announced that “Everyone She Knows ” will be his next single.
“Everyone She Knows” is a track from Kenny’s Here And Now album.
Talking about the character in the song, Kenny says, “I love this woman! She’s found a life that works for her, and it’s maybe not what her friends are doing, but it works for her. There’s this idea that you get married, settle down and your life is made; but the woman in ‘Everyone She Knows’ is still out there, living life on her own terms, chasing her dreams and trying to balance that with what people seem to expect.”
Kenny adds, “I think there’s nothing as awesome as a woman living life the way she wants to…to see someone so in love with life, so in love with the adventure, out there doing it? That’s an incredible thing. I know so many women who are their own compass… and this song is for them. Wherever you are, however you are, just love the adventure and don’t worry what people think.”
