Trisha Yearwood’s New Cookbook Is Available Now

Trisha Yearwood’s New Cookbook Is Available Now

Trisha Yearwood‘s new cookbook Easy Comfort Food For Friends & Family is available now!

Trisha admits that the new cookbook is the result of being home during the quarantine, “I wrote this last year when we were all home, and it was really great ’cause I would get up in the morning…and I would have my coffee…and I would sit down and either work on a recipe that I was going to cook that day and test that day and tweak that day or whatever. And then really a lot of the writing of the stories came after I got the recipes done.”

To celebrate the release, Trisha headed to The Kelly Clarkson Show this week to talk about the new cookbook with her friend, Kelly Clarkson.

Alan Jackson Reveals Medical Issue That He’s Lived with for a Decade

Alan Jackson Reveals Medical Issue That He’s Lived with for a Decade

Alan Jackson appeared on The Today Show for an interview with Jenna Bush Hager where he revealed that for a decade he’s been living with a degenerative nerve condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.

During the interview Alan shared “I have this neuropathy and neurological disease…it’s genetic…that I inherited from my daddy. There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years. And it’s getting more and more obvious. And I know I’m stumbling around on stage. And now I’m having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone, and so I just feel very uncomfortable.”

Even with sharing this deeply personal news, Alan joked about the irony that this disease’s acronym is C-M-T, since CMT, Country Music Television, played such a huge part of his life and career.

Alan shared with Jenna during his Today Show interview that “It’s not going to kill me. It’s not deadly, but it’s related (to) muscular dystrophy and Parkinson’s disease.”

Alan added, “I don’t want people to be sad for me; it’s just part of life…I’ve had a wonderful, beautiful life. I’ve been so blessed. It’s just good to put it out there in the open. In some ways, it’s a relief.”

Zac Brown Band Pauses The Comeback Tour

Zac Brown Band Pauses The Comeback Tour

Zac Brown sent a message out to fans this morning that affects the fate of Zac Brown Band‘s The Comeback tour.

“To all our fans,

I have made the very difficult decision to pause Zac Brown Band’s ‘The Comeback Tour.’ Despite taking precautions, I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. I am deeply disappointed this has happened, as touring is our life and performing live for our fans is the best part of our job. The bottom line is that I want to take every precaution to put the health and safety of our fans and crew first. We will resume the tour as soon as I have finished the CDC-mandated quarantine and it is safe for our band members and crew to do so.

I am grateful to our fans for understanding this decision, as well as everyone on the front lines who can’t stay at home because their work is essential. I believe we can all overcome this together. As soon as we can, we’ll see you back out on the road again. Nothing’s better than the comeback.”

The band also informed fans that refunds can be issued at point of purchase for the following cancelled shows:

9/30 – Clarkston, MI
10/1 – Burgettstown, PA
10/2 – Syracuse, NY
10/3 – Saratoga Springs, NY

Zac Brown Band’s album, The Comeback, arrives October 15th, and it includes their current single “Same Boat.”

Scotty McCreery Lands At Number-One with “You Time”

Scotty McCreery Lands At Number-One with “You Time”

Congrats to Scotty McCreery as his song “You Time” is number-one in country music this week!

It’s one of the tracks from his just released album, Same Truck.

Talking about “You Time”, Scotty says, “This song, like so many of my songs, was inspired by my wife Gabi as well as my desire to spend more time with her in the midst of our busy careers.”

He adds, “We wrote this back in 2019. I wrote a lot of songs, but I just kept coming back to that, I kept singing that in my head when I was mowing the grass, taking a shower, doing little things like that. I was like ‘Well, that’s probably a sign that there’s something to this song.’ So, that was a big role in why we chose this as a single.”

And it’s paid off for Scotty as “You Time” is now his 4th consecutive number-one song.

Of course Scotty knows that he couldn’t have achieved this on his own, “Thanks to country radio, my co-writers Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis, to the Triple Tigers Records promotion team and Triple 8 Management, and as always, to my fans. I have missed you during this past year while the world did stop spinning, and I’m glad to be back out on the road to see you.”

Scotty McCreery is following up “You Time” with “Damn Strait” — another song from his new album, Same Truck.

Jimmie Allen Rumbas To His Own Song on Week 2 of Dancing With The Stars

Did you catch week 2 of Dancing With The Stars?

After Tangoing his way through week 1, in week 2 Jimmie Allen took to the dance floor to perform the Rumba with his partner Emma Slater.

While the moves might have been new to Jimmie, the song they danced to was very familiar to him – as it was his 2019 number-1 hit “Make Me Want To.”

Jimmie and Emma’s effort scored them a 27, and kept the country singer safe for another week.

Sadly, no mercy was shown to Martin Kove. The judges swept his leg, as he and his partner Britt Stewart were the first eliminated from Season 30 of Dancing With The Stars.

Jimmie is having success on the dance floor, and the country music song chart as he and his other partner Brad Paisley are now in the Top-20 (and climbing) with their song “Freedom Was A Highway”

Old Dominion also gave their fans a preview of the new album with the song “All I Know About Girls”

Priscilla Block’s New Version of “Just About Over You” Makes Her Cry

Priscilla Block’s New Version of “Just About Over You” Makes Her Cry

As “Just About Over You” steps inside the Top-20 on the Billboard Airplay chart, Priscilla Block is giving fans a new take on the track with an acoustic piano version of the hit song.

Priscilla says “Y’all this version makes me cry in all the best ways. The the piano…the fiddle… the whole thing. I hope y’all love it as much as I do.”

While Priscilla’s unmistakable vocals are on the song, chances are that she’s not tickling the ivories there on the piano.

When she was younger, Priscilla was signed up for lessons, but by her own account…things did not go well, “My mom always wanted me to play piano and so I was in piano lessons, and I would never practice and I would go to piano class, and be signing off that I’d practiced. I mean I was not improving that much. (laugh) I knew the chords, and that was great. And then, sure enough, not long after my parents were like well, we’re not going to keep paying for you to play if you’re not going to practice. And I was like alright, cool.”

After the piano lessons didn’t go well, her mom still wanted Priscilla to play some sort of instrument…so with mom’s urging and a trip to her attic, Priscilla found the thing that would change her life forever.

She shares the story, “My mom continued to keep encouraging me and she goes, you should pick up the guitar, and you can take it anywhere with you. So, I found a guitar in our attic. And I taught myself how to play. I knew I couldn’t ask them for lessons because they’re not going to pay for it. So, it was me on YouTube and learning all the Taylor Swift songs on guitar.”

On this acoustic version, Priscilla does get to put her guitar playing skills to use…

Earlier this year, Priscilla got to honor her musical hero Taylor Swift with an acoustic performance of her hits when the National Music Publishers’ Association honored Taylor with the Songwriter Icon Award. Priscilla also shared the story of how Taylor turned her career around with a chance meeting on a Nashville street.

“Just About Over You” is one of the songs featured on Priscilla Block’s self-titled 6-Song EP.

After all the acoustic versions, check out the music video for the studio version of the track.
