Cole Swindell Lands At Number-1 with “Single Saturday Night”

Congrats to Cole Swindell as his “Single Saturday Night” takes the top spot on the Billboard country music airplay chart!

Fans are loving the track about finding the one who ends your lonely weekends – and the line that fans are noticing is the same one that first caught Cole’s attention in the song as well… “Working on a White Claw.” Cole admits that he’s had a few since he first sang the song, “That was one of the lines…honestly that caught my ear, I was like ‘wow.’ Because, I’ve drank a few but mainly after the song came out you know I never drank a lot of it either, but I knew how popular it was.”

Cole says that one of the goals he had in releasing “Single Saturday Night” in 2020, was to give fans something fun to listen to, and now in 2021 the song is a huge hit, “It’s fun, it’s not meant to change the world. It’s something fun… and that’s what I wanted to put out last year, and thankfully still have it out you know.”

Cole admits, “’Single Saturday Night’ is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever put out and it’s pretty much just talking about doing the same old thing…one night you meet somebody that changes your life….and cheers to the last single Saturday night of all of our lives.”

Lainey Wilson’s List of Things to Know is Not Just for Men

Lainey Wilson’s List of Things to Know is Not Just for Men

Lainey Wilson is working her way up the country music airplay chart with “Things A Man Oughta Know” from her album Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’

As she’s listing off all those things in the song, turns out that those are things that are not just for a man to know…but they were also things Lainey’s parents wanted her to know before she embarked on her trip to Nashville to make it in country music. “We sat down to write down things a man ought to know, and the list was way too long. So we had to condense it a little bit. But we really started talking about my childhood and all the things that my parents taught me growing up, things that they thought were important. Things I needed to know before I left Baskin. Like how to change a tire, how to start a fire, how to turn a wrench. Before I moved up to Nashville in my camper they made me weave it in and out of the pine trees in the front yard to make sure I knew what I was doing.”

Lainey shares the real lesson of the song, “But more importantly, it’s not just about that. It’s about the characteristics my parents taught me to look for in myself, but also in other people.”

Along with getting ready to jump inside the Top-10 of the Billboard country music airplay chart with “Things A Man Oughta Know” – the music video for the track has surpassed 1 million views.

Lainey promised her fans something special if that happened, “I told y’all that once my ‘Things A Man Oughta Know’ official music video hit 1 million views on YouTube, I’d release the BTS… so, here she is! I present to you, ‘Things A Man Oughta Know: Making the Music Video.’ Enjoy. Forever thankful for all of your support on this song.”

Little Big Town’s “Wine, Beer, Whiskey” Goes Platinum at the Opry

Little Big Town’s “Wine, Beer, Whiskey” Goes Platinum at the Opry

This past weekend Little Big Town got a surprise during their appearance at the Grand Ole Opry – they found out that their song “Wine, Beer, Whiskey” has been certified Platinum!

Karen Fairchild says the track was born from an innocent question…but that type of feel good carefree music is probably just what everyone is looking for this summer. “I really love the spirit of this song so much. We wrote it and it was really just like in the moment – ‘Hey, who wants a glass of wine or a beer or whiskey?’ And next thing you know we have a song, so, it’s a jam. It’s a party, and that’s what we need right now.”

Parker McCollum is Having a July to Remember

Parker McCollum is Having a July to Remember

Parker McCollum is having a July to remember – this Friday, to close out the month, his new album Gold Chain Cowboy will arrive in stores and online.

But it was at the beginning of the month Parker made a bigger move…he proposed to his girlfriend Hallie Ray.

Parker admits that the proposal went as smooth as it did because of the help of his sister and her professional skills, “My sister’s an event planner in Washington, D.C., and I’ve been so busy on the road there was no way that I was going to pull that off on my own.”

Parker and his sister also had a little help from his soon-to-be Mother-In-Law, “So, her and Hallie Ray’s mom killed it. I mean, just absolutely took care of the whole deal (and) flew her family and my family in to surprise her. She’d had no idea. She thought we were going to a label dinner. She thought she was walking into this private room where everybody with the record label would be there, and obviously, when she pulled back the curtain and saw all the flowers and all that stuff.”

When it comes to that moment where he asked Hallie Ray to be his wife, “I don’t remember what I said. She doesn’t remember what I said either, but I did the thing and then they all came down and surprised her and we had a little party. It really went off without a hitch. It was great.”

Of course she said “yes”!

Brett Young Went Acoustic With “Not Yet”

Brett Young Went Acoustic With “Not Yet”

Brett Young followed up his number-one hit “Lady” with the latest track off of his album, Weekend Look A Little Different These Days.

Brett thinks “Not Yet” is the perfect song for fans to hear after his number-1 hit, “I think after ‘Lady’ it was time to switch it up, and going into summer have something that was just a good summer song and not too heady and not too deep. You know, it’s a song about those moments in your life that you wish never had to end. I think everybody can pick and choose and plug in that one life experience that they have that this song makes ‘em think about. So, it just felt kinda like a fun summer no-brainer, and good way to follow up a song like ‘Lady.’”
