Old Dominion lead singer Matthew Ramsey never takes fans showing up to their concerts for granted, “We’ve been the band that plays the little side stage or whatever and its hard to wrap your head around the fact that that’s no, you are headlining the show and these people are coming to see you. So every show is still a surprise to me and the guys actually make fun of me sometimes because I’m always like, ‘is there anyone here’ and they’re like ‘ yes man, there’s going to be a lot of people here’ (Laughs) But we still have that sense that we want to prove ourselves to them and we want to make them come back and we want to make them feel like they get what they paid for or more than they paid for.”

Jake Owen’s “Made For You” Just Made It to Number-1

Jake Owen’s “Made For You” Just Made It to Number-1

Congrats to Jake Owen – his “Made For You” is the number-one song this week on the country airplay chart.

Jake loves that fans are connecting with the songs he’s creating, “One thing for me that’s consistent is my love for music. I just love doing this. I love the entertainment aspect of it.”

Jake, like a lot of artists can’t wait to get back to the point where they can tour and bring their shows to fans night after night. When it comes to being on the road, and performing, Jake says, “I love the fact that I have the ability each night and just go out there and people show up and they’re just sitting there ready and they’re like, ‘Alright, entertain us, lets have fun tonight.’ And I like that responsibility. I like the responsibility of entertaining people and making sure that when they leave they go, ‘wow that was a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see that guy again.’ And hopefully we leave them with that impression.”

Well, this is one fans will be loving to see Jake sing on stage — check out the music video for his brand new number-one song “Made For You.”

Jordan Davis Set to Release New EP, Buy Dirt – May 21st

Jordan Davis Set to Release New EP, Buy Dirt – May 21st

Jordan Davis is climbing the country music airplay chart with his hit song “Almost Maybes” – now the announcement comes that he’ll have a new project arriving in 3 weeks – May 21st!

Jordan’s EP, Buy Dirt, features 8 tracks – 7 of which he co-wrote.

That 8th track he didn’t write is actually a song co-written by John Prine for John’s debut album, but it was another John…John Denver who made the song popular in the early 1970s, “Blow Up Your TV.”

Buy Dirt Track Listing:

  1. “Blow Up Your TV” (Written by John Prine and Jeffrey Bradford Kent)
  2. “Buy Dirt” (feat. Luke Bryan) (Written by Jordan Davis, Jacob Davis, Josh Jenkins, Matt Jenkins)
  3. “Need To Not” (Written by Jordan Davis, Jacob Davis, Josh Jenkins, Matt Jenkins)
  4. “Drink Had Me” (Written by Jordan Davis, Ashley Gorley, Emily Weisband, Paul DiGiovanni)
  5. “Lose You” (Written by Jordan Davis, Paul DiGiovanni, Josh Kerr, Josh Dorr)
  6. “Almost Maybes” (Written by Jordan Davis, Jesse Frasure, Hillary Lindsey)
  7. “I Still Smoked” (Written by Jordan Davis, Randy Montana, Jonathan Singleton)
  8. “Trying” (Written by Jordan Davis, Ashley Gorley, Emily Weisband, Paul DiGiovanni)

The music on the new EP was inspired by the last year…Jordan explains, “I’m in a different spot in my life than I was when I released Home State. We all are! 2020 was a tough time for everyone. I was able to use that time to recenter some things in my world, and I didn’t want those lessons to go to waste. I wanted to create something special. The best way to that was to write honestly, and we did a lot of that on this record.”

Jordan has a very special guest on the title track, “Buy Dirt” — Luke Bryan.

He shares how Luke got involved with the project, “We sat around the fire after a golf tournament one day, smoking cigars and talking about everything BUT music. That conversation always stuck with me. Luke isn’t just a great entertainer; he’s a great Dad, a great husband, and a great friend, too. That’s what ‘Buy Dirt’ embodies. When I wrote ‘Buy Dirt,’ I knew he could relate to the song’s message. I took a chance and asked him to join me on the recording, and he said ‘yes’.”
