Luke Bryan has announced dates for his Proud To Be Right Here tour!
He says, “There is nothing more gratifying about writing and recording music than getting to play it live for y’all. I can’t believe this moment is nearly here when we get to hop on the tour bus and roll into towns across America. Let’s get back to doing what we do best!”
Luke will be hitting the road with Dylan Scott, Runaway June, Caylee Hammack and more, starting July 8th in Syracuse, New York.

One of the songs that fans will be wanting to hear live in concert is Luke’s new single “Waves” — which is included on the recently released Deluxe Edition of his album, Born Here Live Here Die Here.
Talking about the new track, Luke says, “’Waves’ is a song about kids falling in love during the summer and just all the images and everything about just how beautiful that summer love is and how the emotions just keep coming in waves. ‘Waves’ is kind of a play on words, and I fell in love with the song the second I heard it.”

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Despite a comeback in the middle innings from a five-run deficit, No. 21 Georgia used a three-run ninth inning to knock off the No. 17 Tennessee softball team, 11-8, in extra-innings on Sunday at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
The afternoon was an offensive barrage that saw the teams combine for 21 hits, with Tennessee (35-8, 8-7 SEC) featuring four players who tallied multiple hits and Georgia (29-14, 7-11 SEC) saw all but one starter record a hit.
Senior infielder Ashley Morgan led the way offensively for the Lady Vols, finishing the day, 2-for-5, with a pair of doubles and a whopping four RBIs.
Sophomore Madison Webber also went 2-for-5 at the dish, recording two RBI and a run scored.
In the circle it was a bit of an up-and-down day for UT that saw sophomore Callie Turner and junior Ashley Rogers combine for 10 earned runs on 10 hits, despite fanning six batters.
The teams traded runs in the opening two innings, with UT holding a slim, 3-2 advantage heading into the top of the third.
Tennessee’s runs came on a RBI double from junior Ally Shipman and the first of Webber’s two, two-RBI singles.
In the top half of the third, the Bulldogs exploded for six runs to take a 8-3 lead, before the contest met its midpoint.
However, the Orange & White responded with five unanswered runs in the fourth and fifth innings, with four of the five runs coming off Morgan’s two, two-RBI doubles to tie the score at eight apiece.
The final innings of the ballgame were fairly uneventful as the afternoon gave the SPL crowd a few innings of free softball.
After a scoreless eighth, Georgia pounced in the ninth for three runs on three hits to put pressure on UT, before ultimately walking away with the 11-8 victory.
MORGAN MAKES MOST OF WEEKEND Ashley Morgan was the most explosive bat for the Orange & White all weekend, finishing the series 6-for-10 at the plate with three doubles, a home run and six RBI’s. She also boasted a weekend slugging percentage of 1.200, while striking out just once.

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – No. 5 Tennessee exploded for 20 runs on 21 hits to pull away late and take the rubber game against Texas A&M, 20-7, on Sunday afternoon at Blue Bell Park in Bryan-College Station, Texas.
The Vols’ 20 runs were their most in an SEC game since defeating Georgia 25-5 on May 8, 2010. The Big Orange scored 15 runs over the final three innings after trailing 6-5 entering the seventh inning.
UT also set a new season-high with six home runs on the day, none bigger than Evan Russell’s three-run blast with Tennessee trailing by a run in the top of the seventh inning.
Senior right hander Sean Hunley earned the win to improve to 7-2 on the year after tossing 2.1 scoreless innings of relief. Fellow senior reliever Redmond Walsh picked up his fourth save of the season after pitching the final 2.1 innings. The save was the 15th of his career, moving him into sole possession of third on Tennessee’s all-time list.
For the first time in the series, the Aggies struck first courtesy of a solo home run by Austin Bost in the bottom of the first inning.
The Vols responded with a big inning in the third, scoring four runs to take a 4-1 lead. Derkay led off the inning with a no-doubt home run over the bullpen in right field to tie the game at one. Jordan Beck and Spence followed with back-to-back singles and moved into scoring position on a sacrifice bunt by Ferguson. Beck scored to put UT ahead thanks to a throwing error by Aggies third baseman Bryce Blaum. One batter later, Gilbert lined a double into right center to plate two more runs and give the Big Orange a three-run lead.
After Tennessee added another run in the fourth on an RBI walk by Rucker, Texas A&M erased its deficit and took a one-run lead with a five-run fifth inning. The Aggies had four hits in the frame and took advantage of a UT error to go up 6-5.
The Vols punched back with another big inning of their own in the top of the seventh, plating five runs to retake the lead. After consecutive hits by Rucker and Gilbert to lead off the inning, Russell came up with yet another clutch home run, smashing the first pitch he saw well over the fence in center field. Lipcius followed with a long ball of his own, hitting a laser over the wall in right field to make it 9-6. The Big Orange added one more run later in the inning when Booker scored from third on a wild pitch to put Tennessee ahead 10-6.
A solo homer by Ferguson and an RBI single by Lipcius plated two more runs for UT in the eighth, giving the Vols a 12-6 advantage. The Vols exploded for eight more runs in the ninth, punctuated by Russell’s second three-run blast of the game and a solo shot by Pavolony.
The Vols return to Knoxville to take on Lipscomb on Tuesday night before hosting Kentucky at home next Thursday-Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

RUSSELL DOES IT AGAIN: Vols’ senior slugger Evan Russell recorded his third multi-homer game of the year and hit yet another clutch home run in Sunday’s win. His three-run blast to dead center in the seventh put Tennessee ahead 8-6. The Lexington, Tennessee, native added another three-run jack in an eight-run ninth inning and now has 12 home runs on the year with 10 of those coming in conference play.
VOLS DIG THE LONG BALL: For the third time in the past six games the Vols went deep multiple times, blasting a season-high six homers on the day. Pete Derkay, Evan Russell (two), Luc Lipcius, Max Ferguson and Connor Pavolony all went yard for the Big Orange in Sunday’s win. Tennessee hit nine home runs in the series against the Aggies and has now hit 54 total this season.
ROAD VOLS: The Big Orange continued their solid play away from home this weekend, posting another road series win. The Vols have now won all four of their weekend road series and are 11-4 overall away from Knoxville.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – First-year Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel‘s fast, up-tempo offense was on full display Saturday as Orange captured an action-filled 42-37 victory over White at the 2021 Chevrolet Orange & White Game in Neyland Stadium.
Offensively, 821 yards and 39 first downs were generated on 99 total plays during the contest. A total of 573 yards came through the air, with 79 points scored between the two squads.
“Today was a great day for Tennessee football,” Heupel said. “I’m so appreciative of the fans that came out and were a part of our attendance today. With the uncertainty of the weather, they still showed out in great fashion and brought a lot of energy to the stadium. I know our players and staff appreciated that. To the VFLs that came back, there were so many that came back and were a part of this weekend with our current players. The guys having the opportunity to all get together brought a ton of energy to the program.”
Sophomore quarterback Harrison Bailey enjoyed a successful day, engineering four touchdown drives and finishing 12-of-16 passing for 260 yards and two touchdowns. He tossed three scoring strikes for the Orange and another for the White.
Redshirt sophomore Brian Maurer finished the day 9-of-15 for 171 yards with one touchdown, while graduate transfer Hendon Hooker rushed five times for 13 yards and a touchdown and was 10-of-14 through the air for 111 yards with a touchdown and the game’s lone interception.
Redshirt freshman wide receiver Jack Jancek led all receivers, racking up 137 yards, including a 73-yard TD strike from Bailey. Redshirt senior wide receiver Velus Jones Jr. snagged three balls for 86 yards and a touchdown, while redshirt junior wide receiver Cedric Tillman had five catches for 67 yards and a score and sophomore receiver Jalin Hyatt grabbed four passes for 58 yards.
Redshirt sophomore Fred Orr and sophomore Jabari Small had productive days on the ground, with Orr leading all backs with 83 yards on 10 carries. Small had 48 yards and two scores on 12 attempts.
Defensively, Tennessee was led by redshirt freshman linebacker Will Brooks with six stops, and by freshman defensive back Christian Charles and redshirt senior defensive back Kenneth George Jr. with five tackles each. Junior defensive back Warren Burrell came up a pick-six for the defense as well.
The White got on the board first with 12:11 to go in the first quarter, with Small (31 yards) and freshman back Jaylen Wright (30 yards) accounting for 61 of the nine-play drive’s 70 yards on the ground. Wright burst into the end zone from seven yards out for the capper. Graduate transfer Chase McGrath added the PAT to make it 7-0.
The Orange bounced back quickly, with Bailey connecting with Jancek on a third-down deep ball down the right sideline for a 73-yard scoring strike. Redshirt junior Toby Wilson’s PAT tied up the score at 7-all with 11:28 remaining in the opening frame.
The White team answered promptly and retook the lead, thanks to a 45-yard pass from Maurer to Hyatt and a 16-yard scamper by Maurer. While the unit couldn’t punch it into the end zone, McGrath’s 28-yard field goal made it 10-7 in favor of the White with 9:17 to go in the opening stanza.
The Orange wasted little time moving back in front as Bailey tossed his second scoring strike, this time finding Jones Jr. on a 20-yarder. A 52-yard connection between the two on the second play of the drive significantly expedited the process. Wilson added the PAT to make it 14-10 with 8:39 left in the first.
Hooker engineered an 11-play, 75-yard drive to wrestle back the lead for the White, with Orr picking up 38 of it on the ground. It was Hooker’s four-yard rush, however, that was the final flourish. McGrath’s PAT made it 17-14 with 5:01 to go in the period.
The Orange used another big play to move back in front with 8:34 to go in the second frame. Jancek hauled in his second long pass of the day, this one from Maurer and good for a 64-yard gain to the three. Tight end Hunter Salmon completed the drive, catching a three-yard toss, and Wilson booted the extra point to make it 21-17, Orange.
The Orange defense padded the lead on the White’s next series, as Burrell stepped in front of a Hooker pass and returned it 34 yards to pay-dirt. J.T. Carver came on to boot the PAT and make it 28-17 in favor of the Orange squad with 6:38 left before the half.
Bailey led the White’s response, a seven-play, 75-yard drive that cut the deficit to 28-24. The signal-caller went 3-of-3 for 60 yards on the drive, with a 37-yarder to sophomore wide receiver Jimmy Calloway accounting for a large chunk of it. Small, though, put the ball in the end zone, carrying it in from seven yards out, while McGrath added the PAT to close out the scoring in the first half.
The Orange got the ball first in the second half, and Bailey marched his unit 75 yards in 11 plays. The sophomore connected with sophomore wide receiver Andison Coby twice for a total of 31 yards, and he converted a third-down with a nine-yard pass to Hyatt before junior running back Tiyon Evans finished the job with a one-yard plunge. Wilson’s PAT made it Orange 35, White 24, with 10:15 to go in the third period.
The White bounced right back with Maurer under center. The redshirt sophomore helped his cause with a 27-yard strike to Tillman and a 15-yarder to redshirt senior tight end Princeton Fant. Small put the exclamation point on the drive, crashing in from two yards out. McGrath tacked on the extra point to trim the Orange’s lead to 35-31 with 12:52 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Spencer Smith came on to lead the Orange right back down the field and pushed the Orange advantage to 11, 42-31. Redshirt freshman running back Antonio Malone carried it in from a yard out with 5:52 to go in the contest, and Wilson kicked the PAT. Orr rushed four times for 43 of his team’s 75 yards on the drive.
The White finished the proceedings with a scoring response of its own to make the final score Orange 42, White 37. With Hooker calling the signals and going five-for-five passing, his unit moved 75 yards in eight plays. Hooker’s key actions included tosses of 14, 11 and eight yards to junior wide receiver Ramel Keyton and passes of seven and 29 to Tillman. The 29-yarder was a diving catch in the corner of the end zone for the game’s final points, as time expired and no PAT was attempted.
Saturday was the 15th and final practice date of the spring for the Volunteers, who now turn their attention to summer workouts. Tennessee opens the 100th year of Neyland Stadium against Bowling Green on Sept. 4.
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – A four-run seventh inning for Texas A&M proved to be the difference as No. 5 Tennessee dropped the second half of Saturday’s doubleheader at Blue Bell Park.
The Vols carried a 5-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh, but the Aggies strung together four hits in the inning to score four runs and take the lead and ultimately hold on for the 6-5 victory to even the series.
Liam Spence broke out of his mini slump with three base hits and a pair of runs scored while Jake Rucker had his second multi-hit game of the day, finishing with three singles.
Kirby Connell was stuck with the loss after allowing all four runs in that seventh inning, dropping his record to 1-1 on the year. The sophomore lefty retired the first four batters he faced before running into trouble in the seventh.
Just like in Game 1, the Vols scored in the top of the first to take an early lead. Spence and Pete Derkay led off the game with back-to-back singles to put runners on the corners before Drew Gilbert drove in the game’s first run with an RBI groundout. Evan Russell followed with a two-out, RBI single to right field to put the Big Orange ahead 2-0.
Jordan Beck extended Tennessee’s lead to three with a solo home run off the videoboard in left field, his eighth homer of the season and first in SEC play.
The Vols struck again in the fourth when Gilbert drove in Spence with a single to right center for his second RBI of the game, putting UT in front 4-0.
The Aggies cut the Vols’ lead in half with one swing in the fourth as Will Frizzell hit a two-run homer to right field to make it a 4-2 game. It was the 13th home run of the season for the senior slugger.
Tennessee added another run with a nice piece of two-out hitting from Luc Lipcius in the top of the seventh. After Russell stole second base to move into scoring position, Lipcius lined a single into right field on a 1-2 count to increase the Vols’ lead to three.
Texas A&M was able to break through in the bottom of the inning, however, plating four runs on four hits to take its first lead of the day. Kalae Harrison, Austin Bost and Frizzell all drove in runs in the inning to put the Aggies up 6-5.
UT had a chance to tie the game in the eighth with runners on first and second with one out, but pinch hitter Trey Lipscomb bounced into a double play to end the inning. Rucker singled to lead off the ninth, but the Vols were able to do anything after as Chandler Jozwiak closed the door for his sixth save of the year.
