PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WOK / WVLT) — Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a man injured early Sunday morning at a cabin development site in Pigeon Forge.
Police responded around 2:30 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired, according to Public Information Officer Craig Cruise. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The victim was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he is recovering.
Investigators say the suspect remained at the scene and was taken into custody without incident.
Officials have not released the names of those involved, and details about what led up to the shooting have not been made public.
