Knoxville, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – A longtime Knoxville dining staple has closed after more than three decades in business.
The Melting Pot announced on social media that its North Central Street location closed Tuesday as the restaurant begins a transition to new ownership.
In its message, the restaurant thanked the community for years of support and for sharing in many special occasions.
“We are incredibly grateful to have been part of so many fondue-filled special moments over the years,” the post said. “We look forward to serving and celebrating with this community again in the near future.”
The company says the goal is for the Knoxville location to continue operating as a family-owned and operated restaurant under new ownership.
Until then, customers can still visit The Melting Pot’s Gatlinburg restaurant, which is currently the only open location in Tennessee.
The business says it hopes to welcome guests back in Knoxville in the future.
