Watch SaraBeth’s 10-Minute Tune About Tom Brady’s Missing Super Bowl Jersey

Texas songbird SaraBeth stopped by NASH morning show Ty, Kelly and Chuck today (Feb. 7) to try her hand at the 10-minute tune, which challenges singer/songwriters to craft a tune—in 10 minutes or less—on a relevant topic of the day.

SaraBeth’s 10-minute topic: Tom Brady’s missing Super Bowl jersey, which was stolen from his locker after the big game on Sunday night.

Drawing inspiration from Tom’s surname, SaraBeth penned a Brady Bunch-themed ditty about the missing jersey, imploring the thief to “give back his shirt, ya jerk.”

Garth Brooks is celebrating his 55th birthday today (Feb. 7), but the celebration started Monday night (Feb. 6) for the bearded wonder from Tulsa, Okla.

During Garth’s weekly Inside Studio G Facebook Live series last night, Garth’s queen—wife Trisha Yearwood—surprised her Hall of Fame hubby with a homemade German chocolate cake.

“When you’re married to the bomb, this [cake] is what you, like, get on your birthday,” said Garth. “That’s a gorgeous cake. Fantastic. [I get one] every year. She makes it for me. And she’ll sometimes throw in a carrot cake on top of it ’cause she just knows that those are my two favorite ones.”

Thomas Rhett Scores Seventh No. 1 With “Star of the Show”

Thomas Rhett Scores Seventh No. 1 With “Star of the Show”

Thomas Rhett has earned his seventh No. 1 song with his latest single, “Star of the Show,” which is No. 1 on both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay charts.

“I was in Houston this weekend for the Super Bowl when I got the news,” said Thomas Rhett in a statement. “It made for a really fun start to the game, even though my Falcons didn’t pull through in the end! I’ve always known this song needed to have its moment, so it’s really sweet to be able to celebrate it now and with Lauren and my dad.”

The Tennessee native wrote the hit song with his dad Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip, as an ode to his wife Lauren, who he’s known since kindergarten and married in 2012.

“‘Cause everywhere we go girl, you’re the star of the show / And everybody’s wondering and wanting to know / What’s your name, who’s that girl / With the prettiest smile in the world? / Oh, what gets me the most is you don’t even know / That you are, you are, you are the star of the show / The star of the show, baby,” Thomas Rhett sings in the chorus about his wife, who is also the lead female in the song’s video.

After finding that the song hit the top spot, TR went to his twitter page to thank radio and his fans for the success of the song he wrote three years ago.

TR’s previous No. 1s include “It Goes Like This,” “Get Me Some of That,” and “Make Me Wanna” from his debut album, It Goes Like This  and “Crash and Burn,” “Die a Happy Man,” and “T-Shirt” from his sophomore album, Tangled Up.

Congratulations to Thomas Rhett.

Watch Comedian Rob Riggle’s Super Bowl Parody of “Friends in Low Places” With Pals John Travolta, Weird Al, Ken Jeong and More

Funnyman Rob Riggle channeled his inner Garth Brooks for a pre-Super Bowl parody of “Friends in Low Places” on Fox. Instead of staying true to the lyrics of Garth’s No. 1 song, Rob and his celebrity crew lamented the respective seasons of their favorite NFL teams that didn’t make it to the Super Bowl.

Rob enlisted the help of his friends from the world of music, TV, film and sports for the bit, including Aaron Paul, Brian Urlacher, Ken Jeong, Paul Sheer, Terry Crews, Weird Al Yankovic, Malin Akerman, Kristen Bell and DJ Khaled.

“Sure I’ll watch today’s game, and eat all my shame, in the form of wings, nachos and shrimp, we’ll drink with our dads, watch overpriced adds, and hope one features a chimp,” sang Weird Al and Rob.

John Travolta capped the ditty by trying to convince everyone to acquiesce and just root for the Patriots.

Little Big Town Is Excited to Fill In for Kix Brooks on “American Country Countdown”

Little Big Town Is Excited to Fill In for Kix Brooks on “American Country Countdown”

While Kix Brooks is vacationing halfway across the world, the superstar asked his friends from Little Big Town—Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweet—to cover for him as host of American Country Countdown this upcoming  weekend (Feb. 10-12). The Grammy-winning quartet was more than happy to oblige.

“This is the way that people keep up with the music they love the most and where it is on the charts,” Jimi tells Nash Country Daily. “It’s so exciting. It’s exciting on both sides—for the fans that are listening for their favorite songs and see where it is on the countdown and for us, as artists, to go ‘Hey look, we’re there, we’re actually on the Countdown.”

American Country Countdown is a syndicated radio show hosted by Kix Brooks that counts down country’s biggest hits each week based on the official Mediabase country music chart.

While Jimi, Karen, Kimberly and Phillip made themselves comfortable in Kix’s studio, they each took turns hosting one hour of the four-hour program. Jimi will kick off the first hour, Kimberly hosts the second hour, Phillip will be the voice of the third hour and Karen will close out the show in the final hour, getting the honor of revealing the No. 1 song in the land and announcing LBT’s current single, “Better Man,” in the No. 4 spot on the chart.

“It was amazing. It was a lot of fun,” Jimi added about his American Country Countdown hosting experience. “It’s a little outside of what we’re used to doing. Kix actually does work [laughing]. It’s so cool. This is one of those things that you don’t think about getting the chance to do, but when you do, you’re like ‘Wow, I can’t believe I’m getting to do this.’ We’re so grateful to be doing what we’re doing and to get to host the show and announce our own songs, are you kidding me? That’s amazing.”

To catch LBT take over hosting duties of American Country Countdown, check your local schedule for airdate and time in your area.

Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood Team Up to Sing “The Fighter” at the Grammy Awards [+Listen to Keith’s New Single]

Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood Team Up to Sing “The Fighter” at the Grammy Awards [+Listen to Keith’s New Single]

Keith Urban’s new single, “The Fighter,” which features Carrie Underwood, will make its broadcast debut at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 12 as Keith and Carrie team up for a performance of the song.

“The Fighter,” which is the fifth single from Keith’s Ripcord album, is his first-ever duet with Carrie. The tune is built on spacey guitars, sweeping waves of synth and a futuristic Top 40 feel, but its theme is all country: a question-and-answer story about a girl making sure her commitment to a new love isn’t a mistake.

“It’s just real,” Keith says to Nash Country Daily. “Some of the lines in the song I’ve said and heard before.”

After writing the tune with busbee, Keith knew it needed a commanding female presence and Carrie’s voice seemed perfect for the job.

“We toured together a long time back [before our recent December 2016 tour], and watching her sing I feel like I know a lot about her voice and her style and how she does what she does, where her tone is and what she’s capable of doing,” Keith said. “I love hearing her in that context, too. She hasn’t even begun to explore what her talent can do yet, in my opinion.”

“I loved the song when I first heard it and was excited to work with Keith on new music,” said Carrie in a statement. “I had such a great time touring Australia and New Zealand with him in December, and can’t wait to perform ‘The Fighter’ on the Grammys.”

Listen to “The Fighter” below, and tune in to the Grammys on Feb. 12 on CBS.
